Overview

With the U11 Plus Oukitel demonstrates its intentions to move up the smartphones from its U series to a more stable mid-range level that balances quality and price. On paper, it looks like the model has all the prerequisites to achieve that and find a good level of appreciation, especially among Oukitel fans, so we have put it to our usual tests and share the results with you in this in-depth review of the U11 Plus.

Specifications

Oukitel U11 Plus sports a 5.7-inch IPS LTPS display from AU Optronics. The fully laminated panel has a resolution of 1080 x 1920 pixels and is protected by a 2.5D curved Asahi Dragontrail glass. It sits on top of a solid body with an aluminium alloy metal frame and textured polycarbonate back plate. Hardware-wise, the model is based on a MediaTek MT6750T system-on-chip that includes four 1.5GHz Cortex-A53 CPU cores and four 1GHz A53 ones, while the graphics department is managed by a 650MHz dual-core Mali-T860 MP2 GPU. They are coupled with 4GB of single-channel, LPDDR3 RAM, clocked at 833MHz and 64GB of expandable storage. The camera department includes a 13-megapixel ON Semiconductor AR1335 primary shooter with a dual-LED flash and an f/1.8 lens. It is interpolated to 16 megapixels. The same sensor, interpolated to 16MP is used for the front camera, too, but coupled with a single-LED flash and an f/2.0 lens. The battery is made by SCUD and has a capacity of 3700 mAh. It is non-removable and arrives with a 5V/1.5A charger. In terms of connectivity, U11 Plus supports 2G GSM (900, 1900, 2100 MHz), 3G WCDMA (900 and 2100 MHz) and 4G FDD-LTE (800, 900, 1800, 2100, 2600 MHz), dual-band Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, Wi-Fi Direct, Wi-Fi Hotspot, Cast display, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS and GLONASS, micro-USB 2.0 with OTG. What's in the box

Oukitel U11 Plus is placed inside a rectangular box with a dark blue lid and a white body. The latter slips out from the lid, on which the brand and model name are imprinted in silver colour. In the top level compartment, the smartphone is placed. It arrives in a nylon bag and has a pre-applied screen protector with a packaging protector on it. There's a soft TPU case placed on the back as well. Below the smartphone, the 5V/1.5A charger, USB cable, SIM tray pin and standard documentation are placed.
