After the Mi Note 2, Mi MIX, Redmi Pro and the Redmi Note 4, Xiaomi has unveiled the Redmi 4. True to the Redmi series of smartphones, it boasts mid- to high-end specs and an affordable price. The new model has two variants based on the chipset. The Redmi 4 Standard Edition has a 5-inch FHD IPS display and is based on a Snapdragon 430 chipset with a 1.4GHz CPU, 2GB of RAM and 16GB of storage, while the Redmi 4 High Version features a 5-inch HD IPS display and relies on a Snapdragon 625 SoC with a 2GHz octa-core CPU, 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal memory. Otherwise, the two variants are identical in design and appearance and their memories can be expanded with up to 128GB. Each has a metal body made of high-quality aluminum ingot. A 4100 mAh battery keeps the lights on, while a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor provides additional security and serves as a tool for authorizing payments, viewing private documents, accessing private spaces and so on. The camera department includes a 13-megapixel primary shooter with PDAF, a 5-element lens with an f/2.0 aperture, and dual-LED flash (for the High Edition). The selfie snapper is equipped with a 5MP sensor and an f/2.2 lens. Redmi 4 Standard Edition is priced at CNY 699 (USD 103), while Redmi 4 High Version costs CNY 899 (USD 133).Source
