Samsung to display the new Galaxy A series at CES 2017Samsung has announced that this week it will showcase the all-new Galaxy A (2017) series of smartphones. It includes the 5.7-inch Galaxy A7, 5.2-inch Galaxy A5 and 4.7-inch Galaxy A3, all with Super AMOLED panels and FHD resolution (A7 and A5) or HD resolution (A3). They will be available in four colors: Black Sky, Gold Sand, Blue Mist and Peach Cloud. Every model will have a sleek design, including premium metal frame and 3D glass. They are intended to provide enhanced photographic experience and are equipped with 16-megapixel front and rear cameras. In addition, for the first time the Galaxy A series provides water- and dust-proof smartphones, which are IP68 certified. The A7 and A5 are based on one and the same 1.9GHz octa-core CPU with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of storage, while the A3 relies on a 1.6GHz CPU with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal memory. All three run Android 6.0.16 Marshmallow with Samsung Pay, Secure Folder, Always on Display, etc. The models also sport fingerprint sensors, USB Type-C ports, NFC support. The A7 is powered by a 3600 mAh battery, the A5 - by a 3000 mAh one, and the A3 - by a 2350 mAh battery. All three support fast charging.
