It's official - the "N" in Android 7.0 N stands for NougatAfter consulting the general public, the guys from Google have decided to name this year's Android version Nougat. Among the other suggestions are Noodles, Nutmeg, New York Cheesecake, and others. It is expected that a stable version of Android 7.0 Nougat will be released by the end of September this year. Last month Google has released a fourth and final preview of the new version for compatible Nexus devices. The company is also working on two HTC devices, named Marlin and Sailfish, which are expected to be introduced later this year and to run Android 7.0 Nougat out of the box.
