The Pixel C tablet by Google goes on sale priced at USD 499The Pixel C tablet was announced back in September, but it goes on sale now, just as Google promised upon its announcement. The all-made-by-Google slate is priced at USD 499 (the 32GB variant). It also has a 64GB variant that costs USD 599. The detachable keyboard itself costs USD 149. This is a full keyboard with smaller than standard keys and arrives as an optional accessory. It can be either placed on the back of the tablet, or on top of it to serve as case when not in use. When in use, it is attached to the device by magnets only and the software connection as well as charging of the keyboard from the tablet is via Bluetooth. The Pixel C has an anodized aluminum body that is only 7 mm thin as well as a 10.2-inch display with a resolution of 2560 x 1800 pixels. This results in a pixel density of 308 ppi. The model's performance relies on an Nvidia Tegra X1 chipset with a quad-core Maxwell CPU coupled with 3GB of RAM. An 8MP primary camera and a 5MPfront-facing unit are also on board. The tablet runs Android 6.0 Marshmallow and has a 34.2 Wh battery along with a USB Type C port.
