Cubot made the Rainbow 2 official, features two rear camerasCubot has announced the Rainbow 2 - an entry-level smartphone with two rear cameras. The device has a 7.9 mm thin plastic body with a removable back that unveils two separate micro-SIM card slots and a third one for a microSD card. Its hardware is based on a MediaTek MT6580A chipset with a 1.3GHz quad-core CPU. The RAM and storage measure 1GB and 16GB, respectively. Power is supplied by a 2350 mAh battery. Cubot Rainbow 2 features a 5-inch IPS display with GFF lamination, HD resolution, and a 2.5D curved top glass layer. It is specified as having a 1300:1 contrast ratio and peak brightness of 450 cd/sq.m. The first rear camera packs a 13MP sensor with a 5-element lens, while the second has a 2MP one with a 3-element lens. The latter serves to provide additional depth of field and aids the creation of artistically blurred backgrounds to achieve a bokeh effect. The selfie camera on the front has a 5MP sensor aided by a soft LED flash. The smartphone runs Android 7.0 Nougat and is available in white, gold, black, red, and blue colors. The price is not officially announced, but it is expected that it will be around USD 60, which makes Cubot Rainbow 2 the cheapest smartphone with two rear cameras on the market currently.Source
