Cubot KingKong 11 Rear cameras, photo and video samples

Cubot KingKong 11 is equipped with three rear cameras. The main one uses a 108MP Samsung S5KHM2 sensor with a 1/1.52-inch optical format and a 0.7 μm pixel size. The sensor uses nine-in-one pixel binning, and by default, the camera outputs 12MP photos. There's a dedicated 108MP shooting mode as well. The sensor is paired with an f/1.89 lens and has a 24.4 mm focal length equivalent. It can record QHD videos at 30 fps. We have reviewed many other devices using the Samsung S5KHM2 sensor for their main cameras. The second rear camera is an 8MP ultra-wide unit with a Sony IMX355 sensor. It has a 1/4" optical format and works with an f/2.6 lens. The camera has a 28.5 mm focal length equivalent and cannot record videos. Finally, there's the 20MP Sony IMX350 Night Vision camera. The sensor has a 1/2.78" optical format and a 1.0 μm pixel size. It works with an f/2.6 lens and is aided by dual IR lights.

The front-facing camera of the Cubot KingKong 11 uses a 32MP Samsung S5KGD1 sensor with a 1/2.8" optical format and 0.8 μm pixel size. It is paired with an f/2.0 lens and can record FHD videos at 30 fps. We have reviewed smartphones that use the same sensor for their front cameras. Cubot KingKong 11 Camera App

The Camera app used on the KingKong 11 is quite standard and used by most other brands we've reviewed. It is very simple to use and all options are within a tap or two away. The bottom is occupied by the three big elements - the shutter button, the camera switch, and the shortcut to the Photos app. The shooting modes are listed in a reel above these buttons. The default one is called "Picture" and with it you can use AI scene recognition, flash, HDR mode, and access photo shooting specific options from the camera settings that appear as an overlay after you tap on the cog icon in the top right corner of the screen. The "Video" shooting mode is very similar but only has the flash options and video-specific camera settings. The "108" mode allows you to shoot in the sensor's original resolution. The "Wide-angle" mode switches to the wide-angle camera. The "Macro" mode uses the ultra-wide unit. "Night-Vision" switches to the Night Vision camera. The "More" tab lists eight additional shooting modes - Night View (uses the main camera), QR Code, Pro, Gif, Time-lapse, FaceBeauty, Panorama, and Portrait. The "Pro" mode lets you adjust the white balance, ISO, aperture, focus metering, and shutter speed. The "Portrait" mode allows you to adjust the level of background blur and shooting a portrait. The "FaceBeauty" mode also allows you to adjust the degree of background blur and enable some beautifying features such as face buffing, whitening, slimming, etc. The interface for the front camera is similar but with two shooting modes - "Picture" and "Video". There's a "More" tab as well with Portrait, Gif, Time-lapse, and FaceBeauty modes. Photo editing is done via the default Photos app with integrated Google Lens. From here, you can enhance, warm, or cool an image, adjust its brightness, contrast, white point, highlights, and other properties, crop, add a filter, text, or markup.
