LeTV's EUI 6 gets un update that introduces face unlock to Le 2, Le Max2 and all following models

We're quite fond of LeEco smartphones - at the time this brand was at its peak - their smartphones offered the best price-quality ratio and were ahead of Xiaomi and similar brands in offering feature-packed smartphones at a budget. We have reviewed several LeEco smartphones, even after LeEco's smartphone business has taken a massive hit in 2016. One thing that made a strong impression on us is that even that the OS remained without updates - LeEco's proprietary applications received updates regularly. After all, LeTV is one of the main online content suppliers in China. LeEco smartphones we've reviewed:
We're pleasantly surprised to see that since the beginning of this month, LeTV has been releasing an update of its EUI 6 OS that includes a face unlocking features for Le Max2, Le 2 and other models. This is quite an achievement having in mind that the hardware is not the newest one and presents certain limitations. EUI 6 offers a face recognition unlocking technology provided by Shang Tang Technology. With the help of AI, face detection happens after lighting up the screen. In addition to face unlocking, the new OS has also been optimized to offer a simpler and smoother performance in key applications such as the home screen and desktops, the browser, and housekeeping apps. The desktop occupies a smaller and smoother cache, the browser opens web pages faster and improves their stability, scans for viruses, and so on. The update will be received by the second generation of LeEco smartphones and up. Here's a list of LeEco model's we've reviewed, including a prototype that's not announced yet and will never be.
