Kodak is better known in the world of photography, but the company has decided to continue its venture in the smartphone market with something it knows how to build - a camera, but one that is for a smartphone. Kodak Ektra
is created to change our perceptions of smartphone photography and what a camera-centric smartphone should be. It features a huge camera module with a 21-megapixel sensor, an f/2.0 lens, dual-tone LED flash, phase-detection AF, optical image stabilization (OIS). The camera is capable of shooting 4K video and employs an advanced set of software features, including a Manual, Bokeh, HDR, Sport, Night, Panorama, Landscape, Portrait, and other modes. There's also an advanced set of software settings for photo and video editing. The front-facing shooter has a 13-megapixel sensor. Kodak Ektra
features a 5-inch FHD display, a 3000 mAh battery, a MediaTek Helio X20 chipset with a deca-core CPU, 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal memory. For the design, Kodak has opted for premium metal and leather-like materials along with accessories that make the smartphone look like a real camera. The lower end of the device is thicker for more comfortable and steady grip, while shooting. On the right hand side of the smartphone there are two rounded buttons for the volume up and down, another button for the power and a fourth button, which will most probably be a dedicated shutter one. The device is based on Android and will go on sale in Europe in December, priced at €499.Източник
