Oukitel K10000 Pro Review

Overview

K10000 was the first smartphone in the world with a 10000 mAh battery. Despite featuring entry-level specifications, it turned to be one of Oukitel's most successful and signature models because of its great build, impressive battery life and affordable price. This week Oukitel have released the successor of this model dubbed K10000 Pro. It offers, indeed, a real upgrade compared to the previous model, and this is not only in terms of specifications but also in design while retaining the huge 10000 mAh battery. In this review, we will make a thorough check-up of the device and compare it, where possible with the K10000 and other relevant models.

Specifications

Oukitel K10000 Pro is equipped a 5.5-inch fully laminated IPS display with a resolution of 1080 x 1920 pixels. It is protected by a Corning Gorilla Glass. Under the hood lies a beefy 10000 mAh Li-Pol battery from SCUD. It is non-removable and arrives with a 5V, 7V, 9V, 12V/2A fast charger that is able to charge it in 2 hours and 20-30 minutes. The battery is said to last for 33 days in 4G standby, 55 days in 3G standby, and 77 days in 2G standby. The smartphone's hardware is based on a MediaTek MT6750T chipset that includes an octa-core Cortex-A53 CPU with four 1.5GHz cores and four 1GHz cores. A 650MHz dual-core Mali-T860 MP2 GPU is responsible for the graphics. There are 3GB of single-channel, LPDDR3 RAM, clocked at 833MHz on board, while the built-in memory measures 32GB and can be expanded with up to 64GB. The smartphone can also work with an external HDD via the included OTG cable. The camera department includes a 13-megapixel ON Semiconductor AR1335 primary shooter with a f/1.8 lens and a 5MP GalaxyCore GC5025 selfie shooter with a f/2.8 lens. In addition, K10000 Pro packs a hybrid, dual-SIM tray for a Nano-SIM and a Nano-SIM/microSD card. The primary SIM card supports 2G GSM (850, 900, 1900, 2100 MHz), 3G WCDMA (900 and 2100 MHz) and 4G FDD-LTE (800, 900, 1800, 2100, 2600 MHz) bands, while the secondary works in 2G and 3G networks only. The wireless connectivity options of the model include dual-band Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, Wi-Fi Direct, Wi-Fi Hotspot, Cast display, and Bluetooth 4.2. There are a 3.5 mm jack and a micro-USB 2.0 port with OTG support on board as well. Regarding satellite positioning, the device works with GPS and GLONASS. What's in the box

Oukitel K10000 Pro arrives in a huge box if compared to the standard smartphone ones. The package is quite generous, too. Reflecting the smartphone's design concept, the box is all-black with an imprinted pattern that resembles the one of the leather back of the device. The box is flat and on the lid, the brand and model names are imprinted in silver coloured letters. On the bottom, basic certifications and specifications are provided. Inside, the smartphone and its accessories lie in separate compartments. The device has a pre-applied screen protector below the standard plastic one used for the packaging. It has a hard silicone protective case on, too. To the right of the handset, there's a second compartment that contains two envelopes. The top one hides a belt bag, in which you can carry your K10000 Pro. The lower one is where you will find the SIM tray pin and a number of cleaning accessories such as a dust absorber and an alcohol prep pad. Inside, there's a brand new screen protector, as well. The left small compartment houses the OTG and USB cable, while the right one is where the 5V, 7V, 9V, 12V/2A fast charger is positioned. Of course, all the usual documentation - warranty card, user guide, etc., is present, too.
