Battery Tests

The Doogee V10 is equipped with an 8500 mAh battery and arrives with a 33W USB Type-C fast charger in the box. The model supports 10W wireless charging. Below we publish the results from our proprietary battery tests. All battery tests and performed with the screen of the device being calibrated to 200 cd/m2 and with battery-saving features disabled.
Charging (3 hours and 59 minutes)
The battery of our review unit was charged in full for 3 hours and 59 minutes with the provided USB cable and USB Type-C charger. For comparison, the Doogee S97 Pro, which has the same battery and charger needed 2 hours and 26 minutes to charge in full. The charging process maintains a steady pace from the start until the end. The battery temperature measures 28°C at the start and gradually increases to reach 33°C after 1 hour and 35 minutes. At that point, it makes a jump to 35°C and immediately goes back to 34°C, remaining at this level for 1 hour and 45 minutes. After that, the temperature gradually declines, reaching 30°C in the end.
Browsing (26 hours and 16 minutes)
During our intensive browsing test, the battery of our review unit lasted for 26 hours and 16 minutes. The discharging process maintains a relatively steady pace until the end after a slow start. The battery temperature starts at 26°C, reaches 30°C in 1 hour and 30 minutes, and maintains this level until the end.
1080p Video (33 hours and 48 minutes)
1920x1080, 30 fps, H.264, 20Mbps bitrate
The video test for battery life uses a 1080p video at 30 fps with a ~20Mbps rate is used. Our review unit's score from this test is 33 hours and 48 minutes. Again, the discharging process is relatively steady from the start until the end. The battery temperature starts at 27°C and remains unchanged until the end.
3D Graphics/Gaming (14 hours and 46 minutes)
YEBIS OpenGL ES 3.0 3D Tech Demo
For the 3D Graphics/Gaming test, the YEBIS OpenGL ES 3.0 3D Tech Demo is used. The result from this test is 14 hours and 46 minutes. The discharging pattern resembles that of the browsing and video tests but with a stronger expression of the slower start. The battery temperature starts at 35°C and remains at this level until the end.

Infrared thermography
The above photos of the Doogee Armor 11T are taken with a FLIR thermal camera. The left photo shows the device's temperature during charging. There are several hot areas that deserve attention in this case. The highest one is 31.3°C and is measured on the charging connector at the point where it enters the USB-C port. The second hottest area has a temperature of 30.1°C - this is the left part of the upper half of the body, right off the center. The second photo depicts the device's temperature during our 3D battery life test. In this case, the hottest parts are two as well, with almost identical readings - the center of the chin with a temperature so 34.3°C and the upper half of the body, right off the center with a temperature of 34.4°C.

Battery Settings

The Battery menu is a typical Android 11 one. The top of the screen contains data about the current battery capacity and status followed by the app status in the context of power consumption, Battery Saver, Battery Manager, Battery Percentage toggle. Some battery usage data is also available. The only difference here is that when you turn on the Battery Saver, it does not only turn the Dark Theme on but also limits the UI, connectivity, and functionality to using the phone, messenger, and contacts apps. The Power Manager part of the System Manager application opens directly the Battery Saver options.
