Ulefone Power Armor 13 Review
You can buy an Ulefone Power Armor 13 at promotional prices from:

Primary camera

The Ulefone Power Armor 13 features a quad-camera module on its back, comprising a 48MP Samsung S5KGM1 main shooter with an f/1.8 aperture and a 6-element lens. This sensor has a 1/2" optical format and 0.8 μm pixels. The main camera snaps 48MP photos and shoots 4K videos at 30 fps. Other smartphones that we have reviewed and that use a Samsung S5KGM1 sensor for their main cameras are the Cubot KingKong 5 Pro and the Xiaomi Redmi Note 7. Various hardware-detecting apps report a Sony IMX582 version should also be available.

The main shooter is adjoined by an 8MP Samsung S5K4H7 ultra-wide camera with a 120° field of view, f/2.2 aperture. The sensor has a 1/4" optical format and 1.12 μm pixels. The same sensor is used by the ultra-wide cameras of the Ulefone Armor 10 5G and Doogee S86 Pro, and by the auxiliary rear cameras of the UMIDIGI F1, UMIDIGI Z2 Special Edition, UMIDIGI Z2 Pro, UMIDIGI Z2.

Finally, the module is complemented by a 2MP GalaxyCore GC02M2 macro lens without autofocus and a 2MP GalaxyCore GC02M2 depth-sensing unit. Within the camera module, the cameras are located as follows. The left column of three cameras: the main shooter is on top, followed by the macro in the middle, and the ultra-wide camera at the bottom. To their left, the depth-sensing lens is positioned followed by five LEDs comprising the camera's flash unit.

Secondary camera

The front-facing camera of the Ulefone Power Armor 13 uses a 16MP Samsung S5K3P3 sensor with a 5-element lens and an f/2.2 aperture. This sensor has 1.0 µm pixels and a 1/3.1" optical format. The camera takes photos with a resolution of 4608 x 3456 pixels and shoots 1080p videos at 30 fps. Other smartphones that use the same sensor for their front cameras and are reviewed by us include the UMIDIGI F1, UMIDIGI One Max, UMIDIGI One Max, UMIDIGI Z2. In many other models from 2016, 2071, and 2018, it is used by the main camera.

Camera App

The Camera app of the Ulefone Power Armor 13 is quite familiar and its design and layout resemble the one on the Ulefone Armor 10 5G and the Armor 8 the most. There's the usual big circular shutter button at the bottom's center with a simple image of a regular camera in it. To its left, there's the shortcut to the list of photos and videos, which can be open with the Photos app by default. To the right of the shutter button, there's the camera switch. The available shooting modes are listed horizontally above the three buttons. On the top of each screen, there are available options and settings for each shooting mode. The default one is Photo and with it, you can snap 48MP photos. This mode's options include flash and HDR settings, filters, AI for scene recognition, and settings for the picture size, location info, watermark, gridlines, self-timer, ZDS, etc. There's also an icon aligned with the right frame, which allows you to adjust the zoom in and out of the camera. Of course, the default setting is at 1.0x. It can go up to 4.0x, which is a digital zoom. However, if you go below 1.0x, the smartphone switches from the main camera to the ultra-wide one. Anything between 0.6x and 0.9x uses the ultra-wide camera.
The second shooting mode is Video and with it, you can record 4K videos at 30 fps. For Video you can only adjust the LED flash and zoom-in level, you can't zoom out below 1.0x. The mode's settings include video quality, microphone, gridlines, anti-flicker, muting, and volume key features. The Night Mode has the same settings as the Photo mode without continuous shooting. No flash available, of course. The Pro mode allows you to adjust the flash, add filters, and use the same settings without continuous shootings. This mode is for manual adjustment of the white balance, ISO, exposures, and shutter speed. The Macro shooting mode switches to the macro camera. With it, you can zoom to 4.0x, add filters, use the penta-LED flash. The macro settings are also the same, excluding continuous shooting. Under "More", you will see UHD mode, which interpolates the regular photos to 108MP ones, Portrait shooting, which engages the depth-sensing rear camera, Gif, Panorama, Slow motion and Time-lapse videos, QR code scanning. The Portrait mode allows you to add filters, adjust the aperture level (level of background blurring), and add beautification filters.
With the front camera, you can only shoot photos, videos, and portraits. The other shooting modes simply re-switch to the rear camera. The Photo mode allows you to snap 16MP photos, use the screen as a flash, and add filters. The front camera settings also include touch shooting and mirror camera. The Video mode lets you record FHD videos at 30 fps. The Portrait mode allows you to adjust the aperture level, add beautification filters, additional filters, and use the screen as a flash. There's also a 4.0x digital zoom option for all three modes. The images can be opened and edited with the Photos app by default. Among all other features, it also has Google Lens integrated. This app helps you snap a photo of an object and look on the internet in order to recognize it. Or you can simply point at a text and use the app for on-image translation to a language of your choice.
