AGM H5 Pro Review - very similar to the AGM H5 but more powerful

Overview

Let's say it from the start - the only difference between the AGM H5 Pro and the AGM H5, which we reviewed earlier, is the chipset. The vanilla version is based on a Helio P35 system-on-chip, while the Pro version relies on the Helio G85 SoC. Hence, we expect to detect noticeable differences in the performance and battery life as a direct result of chipset change. The RAM is also increased. All other features of the vanilla version are preserved in the Pro one, including the footprint and design, the big speaker with an RGB LED ring around it, battery capacity, display, and cameras. Specifications

The AGM H5 Pro is fitted with a 6.517-inch HD+ IPS display and a 7000 mAh battery with 18W fast charging support. As already mentioned, this model is based on a MediaTek Helio G85 (MT6769V/CZ) chipset. Manufactured after TSMC's 12nm process, it has an octa-core CPU comprising two A75 cores clocked at 2.0GHz and six A55 cores clocked at 1.8GHz. The graphics department is handled by a dual-core ARM Mali-G52 GPU clocked at 1.1GHz. There LPDDR4X RAM capacity is increased to 8GB and there are 128GB of expandable storage on board. The camera department comprises a single selfie snapper and three rear shooters. The V-notch on the front houses a 20MP Sony IMX376 sensor behind a 6-element lens with an f/2.8 aperture. The rear shooters include a 48MP Samsung S5KGM2 main unit with an f/2.2 aperture, a 20MP Sony IMX350 Night Vision camera with dual infrared lights, and a 2MP GalaxyCore GC02M2 macro lens with an f/2.8 aperture. The AGM H5 Pro has a hybrid, dual Nano-SIM tray with both SIM cards supporting 4G VoLTE and the following network bands: 2G GSM (2/3/5/8), 2.5G (BC0), 3G WCDMA (1/2/4/5/8), 4G TDD-LTE (38/39/40/41), and 4G FDD-LTE (B1/2/3/4/5/7/8/12/13/17/18/19/20/25/26/28A/28B/66). The SAR values for the model are as follows: EU head - 0.338 W/kg, body - 1.759 W/kg. The wireless connectivity options of the model include Bluetooth 5.0, dual-band Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Wi-Fi Direct, Wi-Fi Hotspot, and Wi-Fi Display. The smartphone also supports NFC and works with GPS, GLONASS, Galileo, and Beidou. The smartphone is further equipped with a USB Type-C port, a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor, and a 3.5 mm jack. The H5 Pro runs on almost vanilla Android 12. The rugged body is IP68 and IP69K rated for water and dust resistance and has a MIL-STD-810H certification for resistance to drops, shock, pressure, humidity, acidic atmosphere, temperature extremes, and similar types of impact.
