Overview

The general notion is that the Cubot KingKong Mini 3 and the Cubot Pocket are one and the same smartphone in a different disguise. Thanks to Cubot, we have the opportunity to test both models, and here's the in-depth review of the KingKong Mini 3. Because this model arrived second, it is in this review that we will refer to the results we've got from the Pocket 3 review. There are differences and they're worth pointing out. Specifications

Cubot KingKong Mini 3 boasts a 4.5-inch IPS display with a resolution of 480 x 1170 pixels. The model has a ruggedized appearance but does not have an official IP rating. Splash, dist, and drop resistance are mentioned. There's a 5MP OmniVision OV5670 selfie camera with an f/2.2 aperture that is also used for security unlock. The main rear camera uses a 20MP Sony IMX350 sensor with an f/1.8 lens. A 3000 mAh battery keeps the lights on and supports 10W charging. The processing power of the model depends on a MediaTek Helio G85 (MT6769V/CZ) system-on-chip. It comprises a 2GHz octa-core CPU and a 1GHz dual-core Mali-G52 GPU. There are 6GB of LPDDR4X RAM on board and 128GB of built-in storage that can't be expanded. The smartphone is equipped with a dual Nano-SIM card slot and a USB Type-C 2.0 port. Both SIM cards support 4G LTE and VoLTE simultaneously. The model works with the following network bands: 2G GSM (2/3/5/8), 3G WCDMA (1/8), and 4G FDD-LTE (1/3/7/8/19/20/40). The wireless connectivity options of the Cubot KingKong Mini 3 include NFC, Bluetooth 5.0, dual-band Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Wi-Fi Direct, Wi-Fi Hotspot, and Wi-Fi Display. The smartphone also supports GPS, GLONASS, and Galileo. It runs on stock Android 12.
