Rear cameras

8849 Tank 2 Pro by Unihertz has three rear cameras. The main unit uses a 100MP OmniVision OmniVision OVA0B40 sensor with a 1/1.8" optical format and a 0.612 μm pixel size. By default, it outputs 25 MP images thanks to the sensor's 4-in-1 pixel binning technology. Then there's the 64MP OmniVision OV64B40 Night Vision camera with four IR lights. The 8MP telephoto unit is third with autofocus support, using an SK Hynix Hi-847 sensor. It outputs 16MP photos. Below we list photo samples from the main and telephoto cameras as well as a 2K video sample shot with the main camera.

Selfie camera

Camera App

The Camera app is quite simple and uses the same layout as the one used on the previous Tank models. The main screen contains the three main elements at the bottom - the shutter button, camera switch, and the shortcut to the Photos/Gallery app. The reel with shooting modes appears above those and the zoom levels, symbolizing the main (1x), and the telephoto (3.4x) camera, are above the reel. The top of the screen is occupied by various elements depending on the shooting mode - a settings cog icon, flash light icon, etc. The reel contains a "Photo", "Video", "Timelapse", and a "Pro" mode. The latter lets you adjust the white balance, ISO, exposure compensation, shutter speed, and focus metering.
The "More" mode opens an additional screen containing the QR Code scanner, Mono, Infrared, Super Resolution, and an editor for the shooting modes. The "Infrared" mode uses the 64MP Night Vision camera and the four IR lights on the back. This camera can also record FHD videos and you can open the video recording if you click on the button to the right of the shutter. The "Super Resolution" allows you to shoot in the original resolution of the sensor of the main camera. The shooting modes editor allows you to add/remove various shooting modes in the main list and/or in the "More" section. The camera settings include many toggles for the watermark, location, ZSD, gridline, anti-shake, the straighten feature, auto screen brightness, etc. You also get mode-specific options such as picture ratio for images and EIS, microphone, video resolution, and format for video shooting.
The interface for the front camera is largely the same but contains only the "Photo", "Video", "Timelapse", and "More" shooting modes. The settings for the available shooting modes are the same as the ones for the rear camera with the addition of a Mirror toggle for selfies. The "More" section contains a "Mono" shooting mode, "Super Resolution" for snapping photos in the original sensor resolution, and a shooting modes editor. The Photos app is the default application to open and edit a photo. It arrives with Google Lens integrated.
