Samsung Galaxy A36 5G is equipped with a waterproof, dual Nano SIM card tray. The tray is placed on the bottom frame and you have to use a standard SIM tray pin to open it. Both Nano-SIM cards support 5G connectivity and the following network bands: 2G GSM (B2, B3, B5, B8), 3G WCDMA (B1, B2, B4, B5, B8), 4G FDD-LTE (B1, B2, B3, B4, B5, B7, B8, B12, B17, B20, B25, B26, B28A, B28B, B66), 4G TDD-LTE (B38, B40, B41), and 5G (n1, n3, n5, n7, n8, n20, n28, n38, n40, n41, n66, n77, n78). Aside from the two Nano-SIM cards, the Galaxy A36 5G also supports up to two eSIM cards. The EU head and body SAR are 0.525 W/kg and 1.293 W/kg, respectively. The US head and body SAR are 0.7 W/kg and 1.24 W/kg, respectively. The India head SAR for this model is 1.071 W/kg. The device also supports NFC, Bluetooth 5.4, Wi-Fi 6E (802.11ax), Wi-Fi Direct, Wi-Fi Hotspot, and Cast Display. It also works with GPS, GLONASS, Galileo, QZSS, NavIC, and Beidou. Our review unit managed to detect a large number of satellites from all positioning systems with excellent accuracy of up to 4 meters. The device is equipped with a USB Type-C port as well. The connectivity settings comprise the first group in the Settings app with two menus - "Connections" and "Connected devices". The first one manages Wi-Fi connections, Wi-Fi Calling, Wi-Fi Direct, Bluetooth, NDC, Airplane Mode, SIM manager, Mobile networks, Data usage, Hotspot and tethering, VPN, Printing, and Private DNS. The "Connected devices" menu comprises options for Quick Share, Music Share, Auto Switch Buds, Call & text on other devices, Continue on other devices, Link to Windows, Multi Control, Smart View, Galaxy Wearable, SmartThings, and Android Auto. Smart View is Samsung's take on the cast display function.
