Overview

Oukitel WP27 arrives with a set of specifications that are sure to define it as a classic mid-range ruggedized smartphone. The reliable chipset is accompanied by a big and fast display, generous RAM and storage, a big battery with fast charging, and a reasonable set of cameras. Oukitel WP27 is built around a 6.78-inch in-cell IPS display with an FHD+ resolution of 1080 x 2460 pixels and a 120Hz refresh rate. 1.1 mm thick Corning Gorilla Glass 5 is used for protection. The device also arrives with IP68, IP69K, and MIL-STD-810H certifications for being resistant to drops, water, dirt, extreme temperatures, and other harsh environmental conditions. The tried and tested MediaTek Helio G99 (MT6789) chipset ticks under the hood paired with 12GB LPDDR4X RAM and 256GB of UFS 2.2 storage. The first can be virtually expanded, while for the second there's a dedicated slot for a microSD card. An 8500 mAh keeps the lights on and arrives with a 33W fast charger in the box. The camera department of the WP27 comprises a 64MP Samsung S5KGW3 main shooter with an f/1.8 aperture and an 81° FoV. There's also a 20MP Sony IMX350 Night Vision camera with four IR lights. Finally, there's a 2MP GalaxyCore GC02M2 microlens. A 16MP SK Hynix Hi-1634Q is used by the selfie camera. The smartphone is equipped with a triple tray providing two slots for Nano-SIM cards and a third slot for a microSD card. It supports the following network bands on both SIM cards: 2G GSM (2/3/5/8), 3G WCDMA (1/2/4/5/8), 4G FDD-LTE (B1/2/3/4/5/7/8/12/17/19/20/25/26/28A/28B/66), and 4G TDD-LTE (34/38/39/40/41). The rest of the connectivity options include NFC, Bluetooth 5.2, Wi-Fi 5, Wi-Fi Direct, Wi-Fi Hotspot, and Cast Display. The smartphone is equipped with a USB Type-C 2.0 port, a headphone jack, and a side-mounted fingerprint sensor. It runs on Android 13 and works with GPS, GLONASS, Galileo, and Beidou.
