Cubot KingKong 11 Battery Life Tests

Cubot KingKong 11 has a 10200 mAh Li-Pol battery pack. It supports 33W fast charging. All battery tests we run on the devices we review are developed by us and performed with the screen of the device calibrated to 200 cd/m². All test results and comparisons are below. The battery of our KingKong 11 was charged in full for 1 hour and 56 minutes with the provided USB cable and charger. The charging process is very fast until the battery regains 30% of its charge. That happens 18 minutes from the start. After this, the process slows down a bit, and it takes 22 minutes to reach 60%. After that, charging slows down even more, and it takes 40 minutes to reach 90%. The final stage is really slow as it takes 36 minutes to charge the last 10%. The battery temperature starts at 27°C and gradually increases to reach its peak of 44°C, which happens 1 hour and 5 minutes from the start. It stays at this level for around 25 minutes and begins to decrease, measuring 38°C in the end. During our intensive browsing test with the screen's refresh rate set at 60Hz, the KingKong 11 battery lasted 25 hours and 22 minutes. The discharging process is slow for the first 15 minutes but then gains speed and maintains it until the battery drops fo 40% of its charge. After that, discharging slows down visibly and even more so, after the battery drops to 2% of its charge. It takes around 3 hours to complete discharging. The battery temperature fluctuates in the 33°C-37°C range from the start until the end. The video test for battery life uses a 1080p video at 30 fps with a ~20Mbps rate. Our review unit's score is 30 hours and 44 minutes. The discharging process shows a skateboard ramp graph. The slope remains relatively steady until the battery reaches 35% of its charge around the 27th hour, at which point the process becomes very slow, requiring almost four hours to complete. The battery temperature starts at 28°C, reaches 34°C in 3 hours, and fluctuates in the 32°C-34°C range until the end. The 4K video battery life test uses a 2160p video at 30 fps with a ~55 Mbps rate. In this test, the battery of the Cubot KingKong 11 lasted for 9 hours and 56 minutes. It is quite obvious that playing a 4K video is a heavy task for the KingKong 11. The discharging process has a slow start for the first 10 minutes but it quickly speeds up only to slow down again after the battery drops to 50% of its charge. The slowing down is gradual and strongly pronounced towards the end, when it takes 1 hour and 30 minutes for the device to deplete the last 2% of charge it has left. The battery temperature starts at 33°C, reaches 48°C in 1 hour and a half, and maintains a 47°C-49°C level until the end. For the 3D Graphics/Gaming test, Real Racing 3 is used. The result from this test is 22 hours and 22 minutes. The discharging process develops steadily until the battery drops to 40% of its charge. After that, it slows down significantly, and even more so after the battery drops to 2% of its charge. It then requires almost three hours to deplete completely. The battery temperature starts at 32°C, reaches 37°C in 3 hours, and maintains this level for 7 hours and 30 minutes. After that, it drops to 36°C and remains at this level until the end.

Battery Settings

The Battery menu has all the standard features of the latest Android versions, with an additional one - Battery Health. It is last in the list and lets you choose the charging style - whether to always charge to 100%, to 95%, or to 80% with the third being the healthiest option. There's also a toggle for the sleep charging mode. When it is turned on, the system will automatically stop charging when the battery is charged to 80% while you sleep. The other options are standard. You get the usual battery status, power usage by app and system, adaptive battery toggle, battery percentage toggle, and the standard power saver.
