Overview

Samsung Galaxy A60 is also known as Samsung Galaxy M40 depending on the market. Both devices are identical, it is the network bands they support that differ. The software is also different. The Galaxy A60 is for the Chinese market primarily and its One UI contains some typical for the Chinese market apps and services. The Galaxy M40 was released for the Indian market. The two models are targeted at users who are looking for a fashionable smartphone with excellent design and performance that does not break the bank.

Specifications

Samsung Galaxy A60 is equipped with a 6.3-inch PLS display with a resolution of 1080 x 2340 pixels. The Infinity-O panel has a punch hole for the front camera placed in its top-left corner and is protected by a Corning Gorilla Glass 3. The front camera has 16MP CMOS BSI sensor with an f/2.0 lens. On the back, there's a triple-camera module containing a 32MP main shooter with an f/1.7 aperture and 4K video recording. It is aided by a 5MP depth-sensing unit and the third snapper is an 8MP ultra-wide one with a 123° FoV and an f/2.2 aperture. The cameras offer up to 8x digital zoom.

The Galaxy A60 packs a Snapdragon 675 system-on-chip built on Samsung's 11nm LPP process. The CPU consists of 2x 2GHz and 6x 1.7GHz Kryo 460 cores. An Adreno 612 GPU manages the graphics department. There are 6GB of dual-channel LPDDR4X RAM clocked at 1866MHz and the 64GB/128GB of storage that's expandable with up to 512GB. A 3500 mAh battery keeps the lights on and is paired to a 5V/2A~9V/1.67A fast charger.

Galaxy A60 supports NFC (market dependent), Bluetooth 5, Wi-Fi Hotspot, Wi-Fi Direct, Wi-Fi Display, dual-band Wi-Fi a/b/g/n/ac VHT80 with 2x2 MU-MIMO, LTE Cat. 12/Cat. 13 with dual-4G and VoLTE. The device works with the following network bands: 2G GSM (850, 900, 1800, 1900 MHz), 2.5G CDMA 800 MHz, 3G TD-SCDMA (1880-1920, 2010-2025 MHz), 3G W-CDMA (850, 900, 1900, 2100 MHz), 3G UMTS (850, 900, 1900, 2100 MHz), 4G LTE-FDD (850, 900, 1800, 2100, 2600 MHz), and LTE-TDD (1900, 2000, 2300, 2500, 2600 MHz). There is a USB Type-C 2.0 with OTG support. The Galaxy A60 supports GPS, GLONASS, and Beidou and runs on Android 9 Pie with One UI 1.1 on top.
