Overview

The Cubot X20 Pro is Cubot's attempt to offer a traditional mid-range smartphone. It ups the brand's game by offering a glass body, a total of four cameras, three of which employ Sony sensors, a powerful chipset, good battery and an FHD+ display with 6.3-inch diagonal size. Specifications

Cubot X20 Pro features a 6.3-inch IPS with a resolution of 1080 x 2340 pixels. The typical brightness is specified as 470 cd/m² and the in-cell panel covers 90% of the NTSC colour space. This smartphone has three rear cameras, including a 12MP Sony IMX486 main shooter, a 20MP Sony IMX350 depth-sensing unit and an 8MP wide camera with 125° angle of view. The waterdrop notch on the front houses a 13MP Sony IMX214 sensor. The square-shaped rear camera module also includes a LED flash. There is no fingerprint sensor. A 4000 mAh battery keeps the lights on and is paired to a 5V/2A fast charger.

Cubot X20 Pro is based on a MediaTek Helio P60 (MT6771) chipset. The 12nm SoC houses a 2GHz octa-core CPU and an 800MHz tri-core Mali-G72 GPU. The onboard RAM measures 6GB and the built-in eMMC 5.1 storage is 128GB. The latter can be expanded with up to 256GB. The Cubot X20 Pro is equipped with a hybrid, dual Nano-SIM tray with both SIM cards supporting 4G LTE Cat. 7 and VoLTE simultaneously. The model works with the following network bands: 2G GSM (2/3/5/8), 3G WCDMA (1/19), 4G FDD-LTE (1/3/7/8/19/20). The wireless connectivity options of the Cubot X20 Pro include Bluetooth 4.2, 2.5GHz Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Wi-Fi Direct, Wi-Fi Hotspot, Wi-Fi Display. The smartphone also supports GPS and is equipped with a USB Type-C 2.0 port with OTG support. There's no 3.5 mm jack. The smartphone runs on Android 9 Pie.

What's in the box

Cubot X20 Pro is placed in a flat black box that has a fabric-like texture. The model's name is imprinted on top of the lid. Inside the box, the smartphone is positioned on the left side above a stack of documents such as a quick start guide, etc. To the left, the charger and USB cable are positioned.
