Software and connectivity

Alldocube X runs on stock Android 8.1 Oreo so you get all the standard features you're used to with their familiar design and functionality. The Widgets menu is there with a choice of widgets, wallpapers and home screen settings. The Google app is switched on by default and accessed after a swipe to the right from the Home Screen. The Google Assistant is on as well. The Task Manager is classic and offers split-screen support. The Notifications and Quick Settings are in their stock appearance and functionality. All apps are listed on one page in alphabetic order and include the standard set of Google apps and a very limited number of default Android apps (Clock, Calculator, Camera, Sound Recorder). The System settings offer all the usual options for the display, sound, apps and notifications, battery and storage, security and accessibility, accounts and users, system options. Alldocube X is a Wi-Fi only tablet. This means that you can use the internet on it only via a wireless network. There's no SIM card for using mobile telephony. The model supports dual-band Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n and tethering is possible only via USB and Bluetooth. No Wi-Fi Hotspot capability. However, if you want to cast content onto the tablet or from it to a TV or a bigger display, you can do so with the Cast display function, which is fully functional and quickly discovers suitable displays to connect to. Wi-Fi Direct is supported as well. The tablet is equipped with a 3.5 mm jack and a USB Type-C 3.0 port. It can be used with mice and keyboards if needed. No satellite positioning services are provided.
