Doogee Mix 2 Review
7 Dezember 2017, 15:43:30

Overview
Doogee Mix was the first smartphone that dared to appear on the market after the astonishing announcement of Xiaomi Mi Mix last year. It was a risky step but Doogee took it and managed to create a solid and beautiful smartphone that served as a foundation for the brand to grow. It was soon followed by other noteworthy devices from the BL series, which features stylish business design and large batteries such as the BL7000 and reliable rugged devices from the S series, take Doogee S60 for example. It seems that Doogee is determined to win a well-deserved chunk of the smartphone market for itself. It continues its Mix, BL and S series with other noteworthy smartphones, including the Mix 3, which is not official yet but is confirmed to have a flexible display, and the BL12000, which has become the smartphone with the largest battery on earth - 12000 mAh. The subject of this review is Doogee Mix 2. On paper, this new model leaves from where Doogee Mix has left off. It does offer an upgrade in terms of specifications and we definitely expect to see a maturity in design coupled with great performance and reasonable battery life. Whether our expectations will be satisfied is about to be seen below.Specifications
Doogee Mix 2 is equipped with a customized 5.99-inch display with rounded angles and narrow bezels. It employs an in-cell display panel from AU Optronics (AUO) and has an FHD+ resolution (1080 x 2160 pixels) and an 18:9 aspect ratio. The panel provides 1000:1 static contrast ratio and is protected by a 2.5D curved Corning Gorilla Glass 5. The back of the metal body is covered with a Corning Gorilla Glass 5 as well. Under it, a MediaTek Helio P25 (MT6757CD) chipset ticks. This version of the SoC employs four 2.5GHz Cortex-A53 CPU cores and four 1.6GHz Cortex-A53 cores. They are coupled with a dual-core 900MHz ARM Mali-T880 MP2 GPU. There are 6GB of double-channel LPDDR4X RAM clocked at 1600MHz on board and there's a choice of built-in memory capacity - 64/128GB storage. Either way, it is expandable with up to 256GB. Doogee Mix 2 supports the following network bands: 2G GSM (850, 900, 1800, 1900 MHz), 3G W-CDMA (900, 2100 MHz), 4G FDD-LTE (800, 900, 1800, 2100, 2600 MHz). LTE speeds are Cat. 6. The model also supports dual-band Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, Wi-Fi Hotspot, Wi-Fi Direct, Wi-Fi Display, Bluetooth 4.0. For satellite navigation, you can use GPS and GLONASS. The smartphone has a USB Type-C 2.0 port with OTG and no 3.5 mm jack. A headphone adapter compensates for that. A rear-mounted fingerprint sensor is provided along with RDS radio. The camera department includes two rear shooters and two front-facing ones. The rear module combines a 16MP primary camera with an f/2.0 lens and a 13MP auxiliary one. They are aided by phase detection AF, dual-tone LED flash and offer 2x optical zoom and blur mode. The front module includes two 8MP shooters. One of them is equipped with a 130-degree wide-angle lens with an f/2.2 aperture that offers 3D facial recognition and allows you to capture more objects in one shot - perfect for group selfies. The auxiliary front camera has an 88-degree wide-angle lens. A 4060 mAh Li-pol non-removable battery keeps the lights on and uses a 5V/2A fast charger.Complete Doogee Mix 2 specifications.
