The MWC show in Barcelona is when almost all major players in the smartphone market present their flagship devices. But it is not all about Samsung and LG. There are other brands that manage to showcase interesting models though not being mass popular. One such brand is Obi Worldphone, which is known for its conceptual designs. , the new device has been designed by Ammunition - a design firm based in San Francisco. It features, the company's signature elevated screen and palm-fitting body, made of polycarbonate with anti-fade UV coating and smudge-free matte finish. The smartphone arrives with Cyanogen OS 12.1.1 on board based on Android 5.1 Lollipop, which allows a great extent of customization. is an unlocked, dual-SIM smartphone with 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, BT 4.1, USB 2.0, and GPS support. It packs DTS sound with dual microphone for noise-cancellation and a 2500 mAh battery. The model is equipped with a 5-inch HD in-cell IPS display with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 and anti-fingerprint oleophobic coating. Its performance is based on a Qualcomm Snapdragon 212 chipset with a 1.3GHz quad-core CPU and an Adreno 304 GPU backed by 1or 2GB of RAM. The internal storage measures 16GB. Obi Mobiles has been renamed to Obi Worldphone and to celebrate the change, the backed-up by John Scully company released its first two models from the new brand.
