Huawei P10 packs a 5.1-inch display with an FHD resolution (1080 x 1920), which equals to a pixel density of 432 ppi. The IPS-NEO LCD panel from JDI has a typical brightness of 500 cd/m² and a static contrast ratio of 1500:1. Colours are expected to be over-saturated as it covers 96% of the NTSC colour space. The display is protected by the latest Corning Gorilla Glass (5th generation) and its top glass layer is 2.5D curved. The screen is very responsive and we've learned that smart algorithms predict the trajectory of your finger gestures for an increased response speed during scrolling. Actually, our review unit is impressively bright. Its peak brightness (100% level) measures 661 cd/m², meaning you will enjoy clearly visible content in broad daylight. This is the brightest display we've tested. The white luminance remains high at the next level, too - 512 cd/m² at 75%, but drops significantly at 50% - 219 cd/m². The black luminance values are relatively high, but due to the high white ones, the static contrast ratio is retained at very good levels of around 1600:1, which is even higher than specified. It is consistent at all brightness levels and areas of the screen. The temperature of the white point shows a good consistency, too, and is within the 8000 K range. This is far from being perfect but nevertheless is an acceptable value. The Display menu from the Settings provides an Eye care feature and a Color temperature adjustment one.

The CIE diagram does demonstrate a gamut coverage that is much wider than the sRGB one as expected. It's noteworthy pointing out that there are minimal deviations in the blues area, larger in the reds, and strongly expressed ones in the greens. The sub-pixel architecture is a classic striped one. Regarding viewing angles - these are some of the best ones we've seen on a smartphone. There's only a minimal loss in brightness on the vertical side, so fo sure the P10 gets straight A's in this regard.
