FOSSiBOT F113 Rear cameras, photo and video samples

FOSSiBOT F113 has three rear cameras. The main camera uses a 50MP Sony IMX766 sensor with a 1/1.56-inch optical format and a 1 μm pixel size. By default, it outputs 12.5 MP images thanks to the sensor's tetrapixel technology. It is paired with f/1.89 lens with a 25.1 mm focal length equivalent and can record 4K videos at 30 fps. Other mobile devices that we have reviewed and use the Sony IMX766 sensor for their main cameras are the Unihertz 8849 HiKE, Unihertz 8849 Tank 4, Unihertz 8849 Tank 3S, and the Unihertz 8849 Tank Pad. Below we list photo and video samples shot with the main camera.

The second rear camera of the F113 is a 5MP Samsung S5K4E8 macro unit. This ISOCELL sensor has a 1/4" optical format and a 1.4 μm pixel size. The camera has an f/2.4 aperture and supports FHD video recording, which is a rarity among macro cameras.

FOSSiBOT F113 Night Vision Camera

The FOSSiBOT F113 features a 64MP OmniVision OV64B Night Vision camera. This is one of the main selling points of the device because the camera is coupled with a very large singl IR light with a power of 3W. It can light up the horizon at up to 50 meters of distance and enables the camera to make stunning photos in pitch dark. The OV64B sensor has a 1/2" optical format and a 0.7 μm pixel size. It is paired with an f/1.79 lens and a 27.1 mm focal length equivalent. Moreover, the night vision camera of the F113 supports autofocus and can record 4K videos at 30 fps. FOSSiBOT F113 Selfie Camera

The front-facing camera of the FOSSiBOT F113uses a 32MP Sony IMX616 sensor with a 1/2.80" optical format and 0.8 μm pixel size. It is paired with an f/2.2 lens and can record FHD videos at 30 fps. Other smartphones and tablets which we have reviewed and use the same sensor for their front cameras include Oukitel WP100, Oukitel WP55 Ultra, Oukitel WP300, Oukitel WP56, Oukitel WP100 Titan, Unihertz 8849 Tank Pad, Cubot KingKong Power 3, Cubot KingKong Star 2, Cubot Max 5, and many others.

FOSSiBOT F113 Camera App

The Camera app of the F113 is quite familiar and resembles the one used by other rugged smartphonesne brands. The big shutter button with a shortcut to the list of photos and videos to its left and the camera switch to its right are all placed at the bottom of the screen. The colored AI icon opens the AI Album app. The reel with shooting modes appears above them. The zoom levels appear along the right frame. The default shooting mode is called "Picture" and supports AI scene recognition, HDR, and flash light. The additional photo settings appear as an overlay with toggles and include grid lines, picture size, self-timer, etc. The "Video" shooting mode lists only the LED flash as an option, and its additional settings include microphone, EIS, video resolution, etc. The "Night" mode uses the main camera and requires the use of a tripod due to the longer exposure times it requires. The "Beauty" mode lets you adjust four beautification features when shooting portraits. The 50M mode is used when you want to snap photos in the sensor's original resolution. The "Night Vision" mode switches to the corresponding camera, and instead of a camera switch, it has a video recording button. The "More" tab leads to more shooting modes, including "Pro", "Portrait", "GIF", "Slow motion", "Mono", "QR Code", "Macro", and "Panorama". The "Pro" mode allows you to adjust the white balance, ISO, exposure, focus metering, and shutter speed. The "Portrait" mode uses the main camera with options for manual adjustment of the aperture level and background blur. The "Macro" mode switches to the corresponding camera. The interface for the front camera is largely the same. You get all available modes, and when the selfie camera does not support them, the device simply switches to the rear shooters. The supported modes include "Picture", "Video", "Beauty", 32MP, and "More" for "Portrait", "GIF", and "Mono". Photo and video editing can be done via the default Photos app with integrated Google Lens.
