Overview
Gretel is one of the newest brands in the smartphone market. It is owned and operated by Shenzhen Xin Hua Ji Tong Electronics Co. LTD, which has been established in 1998 in mainland China and has nearly 20 years of experience as a professional manufacturer of telecommunication and digital products. We've got in our hands one of their latest products - the GT6000. It packs a large 6000 mAh battery, has a metal body and dual rear cameras. On top of all, it currently retails at around USD 100-125, so for sure these features coupled with a very affordable price should attract lots of attention to the model. Gretel GT6000 has a 5.5-inch IPS display from Sharp with a resolution of 720 x 1280 pixels, a 2.5D curved glass and GFF lamination. It is coupled with a sturdy metal body, which houses a MediaTek MT6737 system-on-chip. The latter is equipped with a 1.25GHz quad-core Cortex-A53 CPU and a 600MHz dual-core Mali-T720 MP2 GPU. The onboard RAM is single-channel, LPDDR3, measures 2GB and is clocked at 640MHz. The capacity of the eMMC built-in memory is 16GB and can be expanded with up to 32GB via microSD card. The model has two identical rear cameras. Each is equipped with a 13-megapixel Panasonic MN34150 (MN34152/MN34172) SmartFSI sensor and an f/2.2 lens. They utilise a standard contrast AF and a dual-LED flash. The front-facing camera packs a 5-megapixel GalaxyCore GC5025 sensor coupled with an f/2.8 lens and a front LED flash. The battery has a capacity of 6000 mAh and arrives with a 9V/2A fast charger. The supported network bands are 2G GSM (850, 900, 1900, 2100 MHz), 3G WCDMA (900 and 2100 MHz) and 4G FDD-LTE (800, 900, 1800, 2100, 2600 MHz). The wireless connectivity options of the model include Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Wi-Fi Direct, Wi-Fi Hotspot, Cast display, Bluetooth 4.0, and HotKnot.
