Xiaomi 11 Lite 5G NE Review

Performance

The Xiaomi 11 Lite 5G NE (Xiaomi 2109119DG) is based on the Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G (SDM778G) Mobile Platform. The SoC houses an octa-core Kryo 670 CPU with a single 2.4GHz Cortex-A78 core, three 2.2GHz Cortex-A78 cores, and four 1.9GHz Cortex-A55 cores. The graphics department is managed by a Qualcomm Adreno 642L GPU clocked up to 490 MHz. The chipset uses Qualcomm's 6th Gen AI engine and selected Qualcomm Snapdragon Elite Gaming features. There are 6GB or 8GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 128GB or 256GB of UFS 2.2 storage on board. We are reviewing a 6GB+128GB unit. Of those 128GB, 106GB is available to the user. There's an option to expand the RAM by up to 2GB at the expense of the storage. This feature is on by default and can be found under Settings =>> Additional settings. Our Xiaomi 11 Lite 5G NE review unit scored 448,510 points on AnTuTu 8 and 505,012 points on AnTuTu 9. On Geekbench 5, the single-core points are 779 and the multi-core points are 2855. The PCMark Work 3.0 result is 8504. These results put the device on the top in almost every comparison with other smartphones we have reviewed yielding only to those with Snapdragon 855 and other top-tier Qualcomm chipsets. The throttling tests also demonstrate that the smartphone handles it excellently. The 3DMark and GFXBench tests could not be run because Xiaomi's firmware blocks them.
