Lagenio Rhino 1 Pro Design, build, and controls
The Lagenio Rhino 1 Pro embodies a bold, industrial aesthetic engineered for durability and dependable outdoor performance, combining reinforced structural elements with a confident, adventure‑ready presence. Its form language communicates toughness and reliability through geometric contours, exposed screws, and vent‑like accents that evoke precision‑built machinery. Textured surfaces, protective bumpers, and prominent hardware details work together to signal readiness for field use, making the device feel purpose‑built for demanding environments while maintaining a cohesive, rugged design identity.
The Lagenio Rhino 1 Pro carries IP68 and IP69 ratings, allowing it to withstand full submersion for 30 minutes at depths of up to 1.5 meters while remaining completely dust‑sealed and resistant to high‑pressure water jets and extreme temperatures. Its MIL‑STD‑810H certification confirms that the device has been rigorously tested to endure drops on every side - front, back, corners, and edges - and survive accidental falls from 1.5 meters as well as impact shocks from heights reaching 15 meters.
The chassis blends reinforced polymer with precision‑milled metal elements and shock‑absorbing TPU, resulting in a structure engineered for harsh environments yet refined enough to maintain a premium, purposeful appearance. There are not so many smartphones that combine a 6.9" display and a ~12000 mAh battery. In that context, it could be said that the Rhino 1 Pro has an average footprint for a smartphone of that size class. The device is 86.3 mm wide, 181.7 mm high, and 18.5 mm thick. It weighs 440 grams and is available in a single black color version with metal elements in dark gray.
The front of the device is dominated by its display, framed by slim 3 mm side bezels, a 5 mm top bezel, and a 7 mm bottom bezel at their narrowest points. The earpiece sits neatly beneath the upper frame, while the LED notification light and the ambient and proximity sensors occupy the right side of the top bezel. An 8 MP selfie camera is housed in a centered punch‑hole cutout. The frame rises about a millimeter above the Corning Gorilla Glass 5 surface - further protected by a pre‑applied screen protector - to help shield the display from direct impact. For navigation, users can choose between gesture controls and traditional virtual buttons, depending on their preference.
The rear shell features a dot-patterned flat surface in the center and texture TPU on the sloping sides that reinforce the phone's tough, utilitarian character. The top one-third is occupied by the two rear cameras and the huge main speaker. The main shooter resides in an octagonal framed module. The depth sensor and the LED flash reside in another, identical-in-size module placed below the first one. The large speaker is positioned to their right, rimmed by an LED strip that functions as a very bright camping light. All these elements are part of a large octagonal module with protruding edges for additional protection. The second speaker is placed at the bottom of the rear shell.
Both speakers produce a total power of 5W and a loudness of 130 dB. Powered by the Awinic SKTune algorithm, they make it easy to hear calls, alerts, and media clearly even in noisy outdoor environments. They also enhance activities like navigation, group communication, and music playback by delivering louder, fuller sound that carries well in open spaces. Moreover, a dedicated application allows you to connect other devices to the Rhino 1 Pro via Bluetooth and use the smartphone as a Bluetooth speaker.
The corners are heavily armored with reinforced bumpers, signaling strong drop protection and resistance to harsh environments. The side frames feature metal and shock-absorbing TPU. The left one houses the customizable button and the triple-slot SIM tray that can be pulled out with a pick or a similar tool. The tray has a red insulating band. The right frame is the home of the power button with an embedded fingerprint sensor and the Volume rocker. The top frame has a microphone hole, while the bottom one hosts another microphone and the USB Type-C port.
