Rear cameras, photo and video samples

Ulefone Power Armor 16S is equipped with two rear cameras. The main unit uses a 50MP Samsung S5KJN1 ISOCELL sensor with a 1/2.76" optical format and a 0.64 μm pixel size. It is paired with a 6-element lens with an f/1.8 aperture and a 77.7° field of view. The main camera records FHD videos at 30 fps. This sensor's performance can also be checked on the AGM H6, Ulefone Note 16 Pro, and the POCO M4 Pro 5G.

The second rear camera of the Power Armor 16S is a 2MP macro lens. Below we list several sample photos made with the main camera - in its default and full resolution, and with the macro camera. There's also a video sample shot with the main camera of the device.

Camera App

Ulefone sticks to one and the same Camera app layout and design, which we like very much mainly because of the convenient overlays appearing when you have to adjust something from the camera settings. All else is quite standard. The top of the screen houses the various options for each shooting mode, while the shooting modes reel at the lower part of the screen above the shutter button. The latter has a shortcut to the Google Photos app on its right along with the camera switch, while the shortcut to the list of photos and videos is to its left. There's also a zoom slider (1x - 4x) along the right side of the screen.

The default shooting mode is the "Photo" one with options for switching on/off the flash, HDR, AI, filters, and a shortcut to the settings that include photo size, watermark, location info, self-timer, grid line, etc. The "Photo" model also has beautification features marked by the round icon with stars inside. By default, this mode yields 12MP photos. You have to tap on the 50MP mode to snap photos in the sensor's original resolution. The next shooting mode is "Video" with a single option for switching on/off the flash and the shortcut to its specific settings with video quality, microphone, camera mute, etc.
The "Night Mode" uses the main camera and offers a longer exposure during which you must be very still or use a tripod. The "Portrait" model lets you adjust the aperture level and also add beautification features. Finally, there's a "More" tab from where you can access Pro Mode, Panorama, Slow Motion, Time Laps, Intelligent Scanning (QR code scanner), and Macro The Pro Mode lets you adjust the white balance, ISO, aperture, shutter speed, and focus style. The "Macro" mode switches to the macro camera.

The interface for the front camera is identical to that of the front camera with fewer options for the "Photo" shooting mode. You get the same camera settings for shooting photos and videos. The "Portrait" mode for the front camera also has the same aperture and beautification level bars. All other modes are used by the rear cameras and whenever you select a mode that's not supported by the front camera, you're automatically transferred to the rear ones.
If you want to edit photos, you can do so with the Google Photos app. It offers the usual "Suggestions" with Enhance, Warm, and Cool options, Crop options, and image properties adjustment - brightness, contrast, white point, highlights, shadows, etc. You can also use filters, markups, text, and other elements. Google Lens is embedded here as well for convenient search by image, translating, shopping, and searching for text.
