Design, build and controls
Fossibot F106 Pro has a classic rugged design and is certified according to all the latest standards for being resistant to water, dust, dirt, drops, impact, and extreme temperatures. The model is IP68 and IP69K-rated and is MIL-STD-810H certified. It combines black and gray with the official color being set as gray. The body is 82.4 mm wide, 174.2 mm tall, 22.3 mm thick, and weighs 470 grams. The side frames and parts of the rear shell are made of zinc alloy. It is combined with patterned rubbery material that ensures a comfortable grip and provides additional cushioning. It also covers the top and bottom frames and partially the side frames, including the corners that have additional padding for reinforcement. The chassis is made of metal and the rear shell base is made of tough polycarbonate. The display is protected by a Dragontrail Glass and the plastic casing protrudes 2 mm from the surface as to provide additional protection should the device drops flat on its screen. The front of the device is dominated by the display. It has a V-shaped notch for the 16MP selfie camera. The light and proximity sensors are placed to the right of the camera on the top bezel. The LED notification light is positioned further to the right. You can choose from a virtual navigation bar and on-screen gestures for navigation. The rear shell has a huge octagonal element with a trapezoid-like shape. The widest part is at the top and houses the camera department with two lenses and a third element for the two IR lights and the dual LED flash. It is followed by the big speaker with 103dB of power. The camping light completes this big trapezoidal element. It has a brightness of 512 lumens and 3W of power. The Fossibot logo is placed below it and at the very bottom of the rear shell, you will see a lanyard hole. The top frame houses a single microphone hole. The bottom one is the home of the USB Type-C port which is protected by an insulating cover and adjoined by another microphone hole. The right frame is the home of the Volume rocker and the Power button with an embedded fingerprint sensor. The left frame houses the hybrid, dual-Nano SIM card slot, the dedicated camping light button, and the customizable button. Most recent reviews
