Battery Tests

Fossibot F106 Pro packs a 12000 mAh Li-Pol battery with 30W fast charging support. All battery life tests are developed in-house. The display of every device we test is calibrated to 200 cd/m2 and battery-saving features are disabled.
Charging (2 hours and 59 minutes)
The battery of our review unit was charged in full for 2 hours and 59 minutes with the provided USB cable and charger. The charging process develops steadily for the first 1 hour and 50 minutes after which the battery regains 88% of its charge. After that, charging slows down. The remaining 12% need 1 hour and 9 minutes to be charged in full. The battery temperature starts at 25°C and reaches 36°C in 50 minutes. It remains at this level for 1 hour and starts decreasing, measuring 24°C at the end.
Browsing (32 hours and 28 minutes)
During our intensive browsing test, the battery of our review unit lasted for 32 hours and 28 minutes. The discharging process develops steadily with a slightly slow start. The battery temperature starts at 28°C, drops to 27°C in 1 hour, and stays there for 8 hours. Then it drops again to 26°C for 2 hours, goes back to 27°C for 7 hours, and continues to fluctuate like this until the end.
1080p Video (35 hours and 58 minutes)
1920x1080, 30 fps, H.264, 20Mbps bitrate
The video test for battery life uses a 1080p video at 30 fps with a ~20Mbps rate. Our review unit's score is 35 hours and 58 minutes. The discharging process starts slowly for the first half an hour but then gains speed and maintains it until the end. The battery temperature starts at 26°C, drops to 25°C in 1 hour and a half, and stays at this level for around 7 hours. Afterward, it drops once more to 24°C and maintains this level for around 14 hours. Then it goes back to 25°C and stays at this level until the end.
3D Graphics/Gaming (17 hours and 50 minutes)
Real Racing 3
For the 3D Graphics/Gaming test, Real Racing 3 is used. The result from this test is 17 hours and 50 minutes. The discharging process has a slightly slower start but after the charge drops by 2%, it maintains a steady pace until the battery charge drops to 15%. After this point, the discharging process slows down noticeably. The battery temperature starts at 25°C, reaches 30°C in 40 minutes, and 31°C in another 30 minutes. This level is maintained for around 10 hours, after which the temperature increases to 32°C with two minor peaks at 33°C when the charge drops to 15%. After that, with the slowing of the discharging process, the battery temperature starts decreasing and measures 27°C at the end.

Infrared thermography
The above photos of the Fossibot F106 Pro are taken with a FLIR thermal camera. They clearly show the smartphone keeps its cool so to speak. The top image shows the device's temperature during charging. The hottest part is the center of the upper half of the body with a temperature of 33°C. The second image depicts the device's temperature during our 3D battery life test. In this case, the hottest part is slightly to the right of the center of the upper half of the body with a temperature of 35.8°C.

Battery Settings

The Battery menu has four main sub-menus - battery status, usage, power saver, and a battery percentage toggle. As usual, the toggle for the battery saver becomes active only if the smartphone is not plugged in. You can set the toggle to turn on automatically when the charge drops to 10%. A second toggle can be set to turn off the battery saver automatically once the charge reaches 90%.
