Display

Ulefone Power Armor 19 features a 6.58-inch IPS display with an FHD+ resolution (1080 x 2408) and a 120Hz refresh rate. A 1.1 mm thick Corning Gorilla Glass 5 with an oleophobic coating protects it. Glove Mode is supported but has to be explicitly activated from the settings. From the Display settings, you can manually set the refresh rate to 60Hz, 90Hz, or 120Hz. By default, it is set at 60Hz. You can also hide the black background of the status bar or show it. It is from here that you also manage the LED notification light. Furthermore, you can select wallpapers, screen savers, display sizes, and font sizes.

The display of our review unit is bright enough and comfortable to use outdoors. Our usual measurements of the white and black luminance, static contrast ratio, and color temperature of the display are published below. As usual, for a more realistic result, we measure them twice - on a single frame that displays 50% white and 50% black and on two separate frames displaying a fully white and a fully black screen.

A single frame, 50% white / 50% black

Brightness White luminance Black luminance Contrast Color temperature
100 % 489.733 cd/m2 0.257 cd/m2 1906 : 1 9404 K
0 % 0.652 cd/m2 0.000 cd/m2 - 9537 K

Two separate black and white frames

Brightness White luminance Black luminance Contrast Color temperature
100 % 550.658 cd/m2 0.314 cd/m2 1754 : 1 9007 K
0 % 0.716 cd/m2 0.000 cd/m2 - 9095 K
The maximum brightness of our review unit is 550.658 cd/m2 measured from the center on a fully white screen. The brightness measured on a 50% white and 50% black screen is 489.733 cd/m2. The luminance level measured on a fully black screen and on a screen showing 50% white and 50% black is 0.314 cd/m2 and 0.652 cd/m2, respectively. It is clear that there shouldn't be a significant difference in the resulting contrast ratios which are 1754:1 and 1906:1, respectively. The temperature of the white point is in the 9000-9500 K range.
Display brightness uniformity
Position Left Center Right
Top 482.223 cd/m2 / 8601 K 488.397 cd/m2 / 8680 K 493.522 cd/m2 / 8758 K
Center 523.343 cd/m2 / 8968 K 545.737 cd/m2 / 8823 K 509.902 cd/m2 / 8963 K
Bottom 495.709 cd/m2 / 9235 K 489.184 cd/m2 / 9198 K 477.490 cd/m2 / 9092 K
Our brightness uniformity measurement shows that the display has a brighter middle with the top and bottom parts being equally less bright. The top one-third of the display has an average brightness of 486 cd/m2. The middle one-third has an average brightness of 528 cd/m2. The bottom one-third has an average brightness of 487 cd/m2. The temperature of the white point measured on different parts of the screen varies from 8600 to 9300 K.
The CIE diagram shows that the display covers more than 100% of the sRGB color space. The coverage of the blues, cyans, and magentas is almost perfect. However, the one of the reds, oranges, and yellows toward greens is not. You will get puncher greens, yellows, and orange hues with subtler reds. The display panel has a traditional vertical striped RGB subpixel arrangement.
