Vchock M9 is a rugged 4G smartphone that can function as a Walkie-Talkie

China-based Vchok has presented its latest rugged smartphone named Vchok M9-LTE. The device has the traditional looks of a rugged handset and is IP68 certified, meaning it is dust-tight and water-proof (can withstand being submerged in water up to 1 meter for up to 1 hour). It is covered with a protective rubber layer and will survive accidental drops on concrete. The model packs a 4.5-inch IPS display with a resolution of 540 x 960 pixels. It runs stock Android 5.1 Lollipop and supports 2G, 3G and 4G networks along with NFC and OTG. The smartphone's hardware is based on a 64-bit MediaTek MT6735 chipset that includes a 1.3GHz quad-core CPU coupled with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal memory. There are an 8-megapixel rear camera and a 2-megapixel front facing shooter on board as well. The whole device is powered by a 5100 mAh battery. The most interesting feature of the Vchok M9-LTE is that it can function like a Walkit-Talkie PTT (push-to-talk) meaning you can have free talks without the need to connect to a mobile network.
