Galaxy F's final folding design still unknown, Samsung has to choose from five different solutions

Galaxy F's final folding design still unknown, Samsung has to choose from five different solutionsAt the SDC 2018 in San Francisco earlier this month, Samsung showcased a prototype of its Infinity Flex display and One UI. However, the exact design of the Galaxy F might not be the book-style one everyone is boasting about. Korean media The Bell reports that the company that produces the folding mechanism/hinges for the Galaxy F is KHVatec and that it has designed five different types of mechanisms. Samsung has not decided which type to use, yet. The most important thing in any of the solutions is that the two parts of the display match each other perfectly upon folding so the display is more durable against drops. The second most important thing is user convenience. In the context, one of the KHVatec designs includes step-by-step folding and unfolding hinges - very much like the ones on a laptop. This, however, like most of the other features, depends on the UI developed by Samsung in collaboration with Google. The Bell source has said: "KHVatec has delivered five version hinges, but Samsung Electronics has not announced which products to use at the end. I think there is a high probability that two later versions will be adopted internally."Source
