Xiaomi Mi MIX 4, Xiaomi Mi 9S (5G) and MIUI 11 will be presented on September 24th

4 September 2019, 03:49:09

Xiaomi Mi MIX 4, Xiaomi Mi 9S (5G) and MIUI 11 will be presented on September 24thEarlier today, Russian leakster Xiaomishka reported that on September 24th, in Shanghai Xiaomi will hold a grand launch event during which it will present MIUI 11, Xiaomi Mi MIX 4 and the Mi 9S (5G).

Xiaomi Mi MIX 4 is not present in lots of rumours but we expect that change quickly with the approach of its launch date. The device will be presented two months earlier than the other Mi MIX models. Probably, Xiaomi is feeling the heat from the upcoming Mate 30 series, a number of 5G smartphones from Oppo and Vivo (think Reno2 5G and Vivo NEX 3 5G), the future iPhones from Apple. In early July, it became clear that the upcoming Xiaomi Mi MIX 4 will pack a 64MP camera sensor and the 108MP Samsung ISOCELL Bright HMX sensor won't find its way on this year's Mi MIX model. However, things might have changed in the last minute as to raise the competitiveness of the Mi MIX 4 and we might actually see a 108MP sensor on a mobile phone. The smartphone will definitely pack a Snapdragon 855 chipset or its Plus variant and has been rumoured to offer reversed wireless charging. We guess the full details about the Mi MIX 4 will be unveiled pretty soon.

Xiaomi Mi 9 5G/Mi 9S has received its final certification in China on August 15th. It has been earlier spotted on TENAA with codename M1908F1XE. This device features a 6.39-inch AMOLED display with an FHD+ resolution, a Snapdragon 855+ chipset with 5G support, up to 12 GB of RAM and up to 512 GB of storage. There's a 4000 mAh battery on board and according to the model's 3C certification, it supports 45W fast charging.

As long as it concerns MIUI 11 we expect to be based on Android 10, which was launched officially yesterday. Xiaomi said that a special MIUI 10 version - V10.4.4.0 based on Android 10 will be released for the Xiaomi Redmi K20 Pro. This makes us think that MIUI 11 will also be based on Android 10 but in the usual Xiaomi way, it will be a more conservative approach and to a large extent will retain the overall MIUI look and feel.Source
