Qualcomm announced the Snapdragon 850 for Windows 10 mobile PC experienceAt Computex 2018, which began yesterday, Qualcomm has announced the Snapdragon 850 mobile platform, which inherits the Snapdragon 845 features and is optimized for Windows 10 mobile PC experience. WIN10 devices with this mobile platform are expected to be available in the second half of 2018. Samsung also announced that it will also launch related products. The Snapdragon 850 adopts the 10nm process technology and is equipped with a Kryo CPU, Adreno 630 GPU, Spectra 280 ISP, Hexagon 685 and the Snapdragon X20 LTE modem. Compared to the Snapdragon 845, the high-performance architecture design pf SD850 supports up to 30% system-level performance improvement, up to 3x AI performance improvement, and up to 1.2Gbps LTE connection speed and up to 25 hours continuous use of the battery. Alex Katouzian, senior vice president and general manager of Qualcomm's mobile business unit, announced that Qualcomm will work with Samsung to provide consumers with a new generation of always-on, always-connected PCs. Jason Lee, director of product strategy at Samsung Mobile Communications Group, said that Samsung will launch devices equipped with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 850 in the second half of the year to provide consumers with a mobile computing experience.Source
