Honor Magic V3 and Honor MagicPad 2 12.3 are launched in Europe at IFA 2024

Honor Magic V3 and the Honor MagicPad 2 12.3 debuted in China two months agon. This week marks their European debut at IFA 2024.

Honor Magic V3 specifications and prices

The Honor Magic V3 features an ultra-thin body when unfolded - only 4.35 mm. The device's design is dominated by the Octagon Dome - the camera island on the rear shell. Th9s is also the first Honor device to employ aerospace-grade fibers, which enhance the impact resistance by 40 times, making it light and solid in hand. Furthermore, it is IPX8-rated for water resistance in fresh water up to a depth of 2.5 meters for up to 30 minutes. The outer display is protected by the Honor anti-scratch NanoCrystal shield, and the inner display is protected by the Honor Armored Inner Screen with nanoscale anti-scratch coating.

The outer display is a 3D curved OLED unit with an LTPO backplane and a 6.43-inch diagonal size. It delivers a refresh rate of up to 120Hz, 5000 nits of peak brightness, an dhas a 4320 Hz PWM dimming. The outer screen supports the Magic Pen. The inner screen has a 7.92-inch diagonal size, a dynamic refresh rate from 1Hz to 120 Hz, and 3840 Hz PWM dimming. They both have the TÜV Rheinland Full Care Display 3.0, Circadian Friendly, and Flicker-Free Certification. The two parts of the foldable house two battery cells with a total capacity of 5150 mAh. They support 66W wired and 50W wireless charging.

The camera department of the Honor Magic V3 is headed by a 50MP shooter with an f/1.6 lens and OIS. It is adjoined by a 50MP periscope telephoto camera with 3.5x optical zoom, OIS< and an f/3.0 aperture. Finally, there's a 40MP ultra-wide snapper with a 122-degree FoV and an f/2.2 aperture. The front camera uses a 20MP sensor with a 90-degree FoV and an f/2.2 lens capable of recording 4K videos. Such a unit is positioned on the outer and on the inner display.

The pioneering Honor Titanium Vapor Chamber reduces its weight by 40%. Its ultra-slim body of 0.22mm is excellent for heat dissipation. The processing power is based on the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset with 12GB of RAM and 512GB of storage. The device runs on MagicOS 8.0.1 (Andrdoi 14) and supports Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.3, and NFC. It has an IR blaster, a USB Type-C 3.1 Gen 1 port, and stereo speakers with DTS: X Ultra stereo sound. The Honor Magic V3 is priced at GBP 1700 and EUR 2000.

Honor MagicPad 2 12.3 specifications and prices

The Honor MagicPad 2 12.3 boasts a 12.3-inch OLED display with a resolution of 3000 x 1920 px. The display panel supports 10-bit color bit depth and covers 100% of the DCI-P3 color space. The maximum brightness is 1600 nits and the contrast ratio is 1M:1. It delivers a 144Hz refresh rate while maintaining its AI Eye Comfort Display properties with ultra-high 4320 Hz PWM dimming. The screen is TÜV Rheinland Low Blue Light (Hardware Solution) and Flicker Free Certified. Moreover, the IMAX Enhanced certified Honor MagicPad 2 provides cinema-level audio-visual enjoyment. With a waistline of 5.8 mm, the ultra-slim tablet also weighs only 555 grams. It has an elegant metallic body available in black and white colors.

A Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 chipset ticks under the hood paired with 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. A 10050 mAh battery keeps the lights on supporting 66W fast charging. The camera department includes a 13MP rear camera with an f/2.0 aperture and a 9MP selfie snapper with an f/2.2 aperture. The tablet runs on MagicOS 8.0.1 based on Android 14 and supports Bluetooth 5.3 and Wi-Fi 6 with 2x2 MIMO. It is equipped with eight speakers and three microphones. The Honor MagicPad 2 12.3 is priced at GBP 500 and EUR 600.
