LG unveils the Q Stylus series of smartphonesToday LG announced a trio of Q Stylus smartphones - the Q Stylus, Q Stylus+ and Q Stylusα. Each comes with a 6.2-inch FHD+ display and a stylus for added convenience and functionality. Even with the display off, the LG Q Stylus will recognize and record handwritten notes. It can also be utilized to personalize captured images and videos to create animated GIFs. Every model is powered by a 3300 mAh battery, a USB Type-C 2.0 port, runs on Android 8.1. Oreo and support NFC, Bluetooth 4.2, and Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n. The processors vary from 1.5GHz to 1.8GHz octa-core units depending on the model. Each device arrives with QLens for advanced search and online shopping plus advanced DTS:X for up to 7.1 channel 3D surround sound when listening with earphones. The bodies are IP68 certified for water and dust resistance. They are also MIL-STD 810G compliant. The Q Stylusα and Q Stylus arrive with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of storage. The Q Stylus+ packs 4GB of RAM and 64GB of built-in memory. Either way, the storage can be expanded with up to 2TB. As long as it concerns the camera department, the Q Stylusα is equipped with a 13MP rear shooter with PDAF and a 5MP selfie snapper. This model is available in Moroccan Blue colour only. The Q Stylus and Q Stylus+ have 16MP rear cameras with PDAF and 8MP or 5MP front shooters, depending on the market. These two models are available in Moroccan Blue and Aurora Black colours. The Plus version gets a Lavender Violet variant as well. The LG Q Stylus will launch on a limited basis starting this month in North America and Asia followed by other key regions in the third quarter.
