Vivo X Fold is finally official, pricing starts at CNY 8999 (USD 1413)

The Vivo X Fold has been finally unveiled. It is built around an 8.03-inch E5 AMOLED display by Samsung with a 2K+ resolution (1800 x 2200) and a 1-120Hz refresh rate. The LTPO 3.0 technology will debut on this model along with 3D ultra-sonic dual fingerprint readers. The inner display uses a Schott (Samsung) ultra thing glass. The outer display uses a 6.53-inch AMOLED panel with a 120Hz refresh rate.
Furthermore, the Vivo X Fold will use an aerospace-grade floating wing hinge that uses a zirconium alloy floating center panel and an ultra-small teardrop hinge structure. The hinge has a TUV Rheinland certification for worry-free folding of 300,000 times. It allows the device to fold at 60- and 120-degree angles. Another interesting feature of the smartphone is its 50MP Samsung GN5 main camera with a Zeiss lens and T* anti-reflective coating plus OIS. It is adjoined by a 48MP ultra-wide shooter with a 114° FoV, a professional portrait lens with a 12MP sensor, f/1.98 aperture, and a 47 mm focal length. Finally, there's a periscope telephoto camera with OIS and 60x zoom. An inner and an outer selfie camera are also provided.
The Vivo X Fold is based on a Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 customized chip with LPDDR5 RAM and UFS 3.1 storage and Memory Fusion 2.0. Further, the device supports 50W wireless charging and 66W wired charging for its 4600 mAh dual-cell battery aided by a superconducting nano-sensitive thermal system. The foldable smartphone is priced at CNY 8999 for the 12GB+256GB version and CNY 9999 for the 12GB+256GB variant.
