NEC has announced the new LaVie Tab E tablet that has two flavours in terms of size: an 8-inch one code named TE508/BAW and priced at JPY 22 800 (USD 184) as well as a 10.1-inch one code named TE510/BAL and priced at JPY 33 800 (USD 272). packs an 8-inch IPS display with a resolution of 1280 x 800 pixels, a 64-bit MediaTek MT8161 chipset with a 1.3GHz quad-core CPU and 1GB of RAM. There is also a 5MP primary camera, a 2MP front one and a 4290 mAh battery. The tablet supports Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n and BT 4.0. The NEC LaVie Tab E (TE510/BAL)
features a 10.1-inch IPS display with a 1920 x 1200 resolution, a 64-bit MediaTek MT8165 chipset with a 1.7GHz quad-core CPU and 2GB of RAM. The set of cameras is better and includes an 8MP rear shooter coupled with a 5MP front one. The battery is larger compared to the 8-inch model and has a capacity of 7000 mAh. The tablet supports Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n and BT 4.0. Both devices run Android 5.0 Lollipop out of the box.Source
NEC has launched in Japan four new tablets from its LaVie series. LaVie Tab S TS508 and LaVie Tab E succeed the LaVie Tab S from 2014 and the LaVie Tab E from 2015. LaVie Tab S TS508 features an 8-inch IPS display with a WUXGA resolution (1920 x 1200) and a 2GHz octa-core Qualcomm APQ8053 CPU coupled with 3GB of LPDDR3 RAM and 16GB of expandable storage.
