Rumored Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra specifications
Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra is the top version of the three and will be the only one available worldwide with the upcoming Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 for Galaxy (SM8650-AC) mobile platform. Qualcomm is yet to unveil its Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset but several listing of Galaxy S24 models on Geekbench have given a glimpse of what can be expected. The chipset is expected to have a Cortex-X4 core clocked at 3.3GHz, three Cortex-A720 cores clocked at 3.15GHz, two Cortex-A520 cores clocked at 2.96GHz, and another duo of those clocked at 2.27GHz. The device will arrive with 12GB/16GB of LPDDR5X RAM and up to 1TB of UFS 4.0 storage. The Galaxy S24 Ultra will arrive with a new, M13 generation for its Dynamic AMOLED 2X display. It will have a 6.8-inch diagonal size, a resolution of 1440 x 3120 px, an LTPO backplane, and up to 2500 nits of peak brightness. Power will be supplied by a 5000 mAh battery with 45W fast charging and wireless charging support. The camera department is quite controversial in terms of rumors. The latest information points at a 200MP Samsung HP2SX main shooter, a 50MP Sony IMX875 telephoto camera with 5x zoom, a 12MP Sony IMX564 ultra-wide unit, and a 10MP Sony telephoto lens with 3x zoom.
Rumored Samsung Galaxy S24+ specifications
The Galaxy S24 Plus will have two versions depending on the market. One will boast the Snapdragon Gen 3 chipset - Samsung Galaxy S24+. Another will have an Exynos 2400 chipset - Samsung Galaxy S24+ Exynos. The Exynos 2400 has been briefly introduced by Samsung earlier this month and Geekbench visits of the Galaxy S24 device have drawn a pretty good idea of what this chipset offers. For starters, it has a deca-core CPU with a Cortex-X4 core clocked at 3.21GHz, two 2.9GHz Cortex-A720 cores, three 2.59 Cortex-A720 cores, and four 1.96GHz Cortex-A520 cores. The graphics department will be handled by the Xclipse 940 GPU which uses ARM's latest RDNA 3 technology. There will be LPDDR5X RAM on board - with 8GB or 12GB. Higher capacity is not excluded. The storage will be UFS 4.0 as well. The display of the Galaxy S24+ will also use the M13 AMOLED technology and will have a 6.7-inch diagonal size, a QHD+ resolution (1440 x 3120 px), an LTPO backplane, a 120Hz refresh rate, and 2500 nits of peak brightness. A 4900 mAh battery with 45W fast charging support will keep the lights on. The camera department will have the same 12MP ultra-wide and 10MP telephoto lens from the Galaxy S23+ but there's controversial leaked information about the main camera - some sources say it is the same 50MP sensor as the previous generation and others say it will be upgraded to a 108MP sensor. We bet on the second one.
Rumored Samsung Galaxy S24 specifications
The Galaxy S24 will also have a Snapdragon version - Samsung Galaxy S24, and an Exynos variant - Samsung Galaxy S24 Exynos. The smallest model of the three will also use the latest M13 AMOLED tech for its display and will also deliver a peak brightness of 2500 nits, an LTPO backplane, and a 120Hz refresh rate. However, the resolution will be FHD+ like the one of the Galaxy S23. The battery's capacity is said to be 4000 mAh and the charging speed is 25W. The camera department seems to remain unchanged. All Galaxy S24 models will run on Android 14 with ONE UI 6.0 on top and will support NFC, Bluetooth 5.3, Wi-Fi 7 (802.11be), Ultra-wideband (UWB), MST, etc. The USB Type-C 3.2 port is retained. For illustrative purposes we share some of the OneLeaks renders of the S24+.
