The device is built around a 6.84-inch OLED display with an adaptive 1-120Hz refresh rate and resolution of 1320 x 2856 px. The screen is protected by Kunlun Glass. Huawei's Display Turbo technology enhances HDR, motion handling, and eye comfort. The panel can reach a peak brightness of 6000 nits on 1% APL content, enabling strong visibility even in harsh lighting.
The camera department of the nova 16 Pro is headed by a 200MP main shooter built on a large 1/1.28‑inch RYYB sensor with an f/1.8 aperture and OIS + AIS stabilization. It is joined by a 50MP RYYB periscope telephoto lens offering 3.7x optical zoom and up to 100x digital zoom, as well as a 50MP ultra‑wide macro camera capable of 118‑degree wide shots and 2.5‑centimeter close‑ups. Huawei also introduces a new "Red Maple Original Color Lens" supported by a multispectral sensor with 1.5 million channels, enabling a 120% improvement in color accuracy and a dramatic boost in spatial resolution. Together, the system is designed to deliver richer detail, more accurate tones, and improved low‑light performance across all focal lengths.
The Huawei nova 16 Pro is powered by the Kirin 9010S chipset, which Huawei pairs with a 7000 mAh "Giant Whale" battery. The company emphasizes all‑day endurance and supports up to 100W wired fast charging through Huawei SuperCharge Turbo, with intelligent battery health management built in. Satellite messaging via BeiDou is supported for emergency scenarios, including image‑based satellite messages and satellite weather queries within mainland China.
Huawei also highlights immersive audio with Audio Vivid certification and spatial sound enhancements, as well as precise indoor navigation across more than 2000 shopping malls in 364 cities. HarmonyOS 6.1 brings a major wave of AI‑driven features. The upgraded Xiaoyi assistant offers more contextual intelligence, while new creative tools such as AI photo generation, 3D dynamic photo effects, and enhanced gallery experiences expand the phone’s content‑creation capabilities. The nova 16 Pro also supports native quick‑launch apps for faster gaming access, improved communication through HarmonyOS Smart Communication, and advanced noise reduction for clearer calls.
