Xiaomi unveils the Mi MIX 2S with improved dual rear camerasXiaomi currently presents the Mi MIX 2S during a dedicated event in Shanghai. One of the new model's highlights is the improved dual rear camera setup. It includes a 12MP wide-angle and a 12MP telephoto camera with a 6-element lens, f/1.8 aperture, optical zoom, dual-pixel autofocus, massive 1.4µm pixels, 4-axis OIS, portrait mode, and hardware-level multi-frame noise reduction. It also employs AI for improved bokeh effects that can change the shape and size of the background blur. This is called dynamic background blur. The cameras can auto-detect 206 different scenes and optimize photo shooting according to the scene that's been recognized. AI is also used by the 5PM front camera for creating more natural background blur for selfies. The front shooter also supports face recognition. The Mi MIX 2S has an amazing 101 DxOMark score for photo and 88 points for video, which makes an average of 97 points.

Mi MIX 2S packs a Snapdragon 845 chipset coupled with 6/8GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 64/128/256GB of UFS 2.1 memory. The model is built around a 5.99-inch FHD+ display gracing an aluminium alloy and ceramic body. The display is protected by a Corning Gorilla Glass 4. Power is supplied by a 3400 mAh battery with a 9V/2A quick charger. It also supports Qi wireless charging (7.5 W). The 6GB+64GB version costs CNY 3299 (USD 526). The 6GB+128GB variant can be obtained for CNY 3599 (USD 574). The 8GB+256GB version is priced at CNY 3999 (USD 637) and includes a free wireless charger. Sales start in April.
