Vivo S2 launched in India today, featuring a lightweight frame and a minimalist rear design, continuing the S‑series emphasis on slim profiles and comfortable one‑hand use. At the front, the phone carries a big 6.83-inch AMOLED display with a 1.5K resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate for smooth scrolling and vivid color reproduction. With a peak local brightness of 3000 nits and SGS-certified low blue light and flicker-free technologies, it is designed for social media, streaming, and general daily use.
The camera department is focused on delivering quality images and video. There's a 50MP Sony main shooter with an f/1.8 aperture aided by a 2mP depth sensor, and an Aura LED light. A 32MP selfie snapper sits on the front, designed for vlogging, streaming, and video calls with dual view support. Both the front and the main rear camera support 4K video recording.
The Vivo S2 runs on OriginOS 6 based on Android 16 and is based on the MediaTek Dimensity 7360 chipset. It sports a 2.5GHz octa-core CPU and a dual-core Mali-G615 GPU paired with 8GB of LPDDR4X RAM. Users can choose from a 128GB and a 256GB UFS 3.1 storage version. Either way, the built-in memory cannot be expanded. An expansive 23000+ mm² cooling area supports sustainable performance in the long run.
Power is supplied by a 7050 mAh Silicon-Carbon battery with 44W fast charging and bypass charging support. The smartphone is fitted with an in-display fingerprint sensor, a USB Type-C port, and supports Bluetooth 5.4 and Wi-Fi 5. It is available in three colors - Sapphire Blue, Regal Bronze, and Silk White. Despite its elegant looks, the model is IP68- and IP69-rated for utmost protection against water and dust and is also MIL-STD-810H certified against drops and shock.
