Oppo Find X8s and Oppo Find X8s+ go official with Dimensity 9400+ chipset and a trio of 50MP cameras

Oppo Find X8s and Oppo Find X8s+ complement the Find X8 Ultra in today's Oppo announcement in China rounding off the Find X8 series to a total of five models. The Oppo Find X8s is the smallest of the five with a 6.3-inch AMOLED display with a resolution of 1216 x 2640 px and an LTPO backplane. It achieves an ultra-thin bezel of 1.25 mm on all four sides thanks to the second-generation chip-level screen packaging process. The rear shell is covered with a Crystal Shield frosted glass, while the screen is protected by a clear Crystal Shield glass. The middle frame is made of aluminum. Again, it has an IP68 and IP69 rating as well as a five-star SGS drop rating. The same design applies to the bigger Oppo Find X8s+ with a 6.59-inch AMOLED display and a resolution of 1256 x 2750 px. They both support up to a 120Hz refresh rate, a typical brightness of 800 nits, and a peak brightness of 1600 nits.
The camera department of both models seems one and the same and comprises three 50MP rear shooters. The first is the main unit with an f/1.8 aperture, a 6-element lens, and a two-axis OIS. The second is an ultra-wide lens with an f/2.0 aperture, 6-element lens, 120-degree FoV, and AF. The third is a telephoto snapper with an f/2.6 aperture, 1G3P lens, AF, and a two-axis OIS. A 32MP sensor is used for the selfie snapper with an f/2.4 aperture and a 5-element lens. The main and front cameras can shoot up to 4K videos at 60 fps. A MediaTek Dimensity 9400+ chipset underpins both the Oppo Find X8s and Oppo Find X8s+ combined with 12GB/16GB of RAM and 256GB/512GB/1TB of UFS 4.0 storage. The smaller model is powered by a 5700 mAh battery, while the "plus" model has a 6000 mAh accumulator. Both support 80W wired, 50W wireless, and 10W reverse wireless charging. The starting price of each of the smartphones is CNY 4199.
