Vivo X30 and Vivo X30 Pro will be equipped with an Exynos 980 chipset, will be unveiled in DecemberAt the 5G AI chip summit today in Beijing, Samsung and Vivo have announced that the upcoming Vivo X30 and Vivo X30 Pro will be powered by Samsung's Exynos 980 chipset. The latter was unveiled two months ago and is Samsung's first system-on-chip with an integrated 5G modem. This integrated solution is very power efficient and compact - by reducing the area occupied by the standard chipsets it enhances the design convenience of mobile devices. It is produced on Samsung's 8nm FinFET process. The Exynos 980 supports data communication of up to 2.55Gbps in the 6GHz or lower frequency band in 5G networks and up to 1.0Gbps in 4G. In addition, users can download at speeds up to 3.55 Gbps with 5G and 4G dual connectivity (E-UTRA-NR Dual Connectivity, EN-DC), and support the latest Wi-Fi specifications (Wi-Fi 6, IEEE 802.11ax). You can enjoy high-speed streaming services such as video more quickly and reliably. The neural processing unit (NPU) ups performance up to 2.7 times compared to its predecessor and provides better data privacy and security.

Vivo unveiled that the Vivo X30 and Vivo X30 Pro will be launched next month but no specs were disclosed. Recent leaks point at a 6.5-inch OLED and a 6.89-inch OLED display for the X30 and the X30 Pro, respectively. We expect to see FHD+ resolutions, 90Hz refresh rates, the latest in-display fingerprint sensors. The battery capacity of each model should be around 4500 mAh but the fast charging should be different - 22.5W, 30W or 40W. The RAM and storage capacities should be quite close as well with the Pro version probably getting UFS 3.0 storage and the non-Pro - UFS 2.1 type. The camera departments will probably be almost the same including a 32MP front shooter, a 60MP main camera, 2MP depth-sensing unit, 13MP ultra-wide snapper and a 13MP/8MP telephoto unit. We have to wait a month until we see the actual Vivo X30 and Vivo X30 Pro specifications. The devices are expected to cost somewhere between $500 and $700.Source
