TCL 50 PRO NXTPAPER 5G and TCL 50 NXTPAPER 5G debuted at IFA 2024 today. Utilizing proprietary NXTPAPER technology, these devices are designed to enhance digital consumption, content creation, and reading experiences, providing a display that offers unmatched clarity, reduces glare, and lessens eye strain in various lighting scenarios. Adaptive screen settings adjust brightness and color temperature automatically, delivering a paper-like experience that is gentle on the eyes. The inclusion of the NXTPAPER Key enables a seamless transition to Max Ink Mode, encouraging deeper engagement and focus while reducing eye strain. Paired with the Eye Care Assistant, these devices are not only tools for productivity but also protectors of visual comfort. Designed with a sleek aesthetic, these smartphones merge style with functionality, catering to users who prioritize both, and enabling a contemporary digital lifestyle where technology seamlessly integrates into and enhances every aspect of daily life.
The TCL 50 PRO NXTPAPER 5G and TCL 50 NXTPAPER 5G share many specifications. Each has a 6.8-inch S-IPS display with a 1080 x 2460 px resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. Power is provided by a 5100 mAh battery with 33W fast charging support. The processing power depends on the Dimenisty 6300 chipset paired with 8GB of RAM and 256GB on the non-Pro version and 512GB on the Pro variant. The camera department is headed by a 108MP Samsung ISOCELL HM6 shooter with an f/1.75 lens and an 84° FoV. It is joined by an 8MP ultra-wide snapper with a 120° FoV and an f/2.2 aperture as well as by a 2MP macro lens. The second difference is in the front camera. The Pro version boasts a 32MP selfie snapper with an f/2.0 aperture and a 72° FoV. The non-Pro variant has an 8MP selfie camera with an f/2.0 aperture and a 78° FoV. The devices are IP54-rated for being resistant to water splashes. Each has a side-mounted fingerprint sensor, barometer, Hall sensor, gyroscope, etc. The models run on Android 14 and support Bluetooth 5.4, Wi-Fi 5, and NFC.
