Huawei Honor V10 is announced, sports a 5.99" FHD+ display and a Kirin 970 chipsetHuawei has just announced the latest flagship from its Honor series - the Honor V10. Three spokesmen appeared on stage to promote the device, which features a 5.99-inch FHD+ display fracing a metal unibody. The Huawei designers have done a great job apparently, as they've managed to pack a 3750 mAh battery in a body that's only 6.7 mm thin. It is available in four colours: aurora blue, magic night black, beach gold, and charm red. In addition, the model has a front-fingerprint scanner which is craftily fit in the front glass panel, making the occupied space smaller, in order to achieve a full-screen effect. There are 6GB of RAM and 64/128GB of storage on board. The device supports 4G LTE with dual VoLTE and NFC that supports the country's 160+ transport cards and 62 bank credit cards. The 3750 mAh battery arrives with a 5V/4.5A fast charger. Another highlight of the Honor V10 is that it is based on a Kirin 970 chipset with AI, which supports V10's face recognition and hand raising recognition functions. According to Zhao Ming, the accuracy and speed of face recognition on the V10 are almost the same as the ones on the iPhone X. A smart display lock screen notification, closed eyes screen unlocking/locking and precise screen rotation are also supported. Honor V10 supports speech recognition, a two-finger-tap semantic recognition, and 12 service cards for the browser, news and other apps. Thanks to the AI game scene learning, the model has a special optimization for multi-core and multi-threaded game scenarios to achieve excellent performance. There's even a game assistant with which you can unify the management of the game's performance, set the game to DND, lock the navigation key, call a key hands-free and enjoy other convenient functions. The third highlight of Honor V10 is its rear dual camera module, which is connected with the AI capabilities of the model. There are two 20MP rear shooters serviced by a double ISP, each with a f/1.8 lens. They can intelligently identify 13 kinds of scenes and adjust a photo's parameters in real-time. There are portrait mode, bokeh, smart sports capture and other functions on board. V10 uses a 13-megapixel front camera, which supports semantic segmentation of the image achieved through the AI, in order to achieve multi-person self-portrait blur. You can also remove unwanted objects from the background. Pricing and availability: Honor V10 costs CNY 2699 (USD 409) for the 4+64GB version, CNY 2999 (USD 455) for the 6+64GB variant and CNY 3499 (USD 530) for the 6+128GB variant.
