nubia Z17S and nubia Z17miniS are officialAt a dedicated press event today in China, nubia announced the nubia Z17S and the nubia Z17miniS. Pre-sales of both start today and official sales - on October 19th. They run nubia UI5.1 based on Android 7.1.1 Nougat. nubia Z17S has a screen-to-body ratio of up to 90.36%. Its 5.73-inch display has a resolution of 1080 x 2040 pixels and has almost no borders on the vertical sides, while the forehead and chin remain minimal. It employs a hybrid in-cell LTPS panel that covers 96% of the NTSC colour space and uses a Corning Gorilla Glass for protection (the generation is not specified). The device is powered by a 3100 mAh battery and its hardware is based on a Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 chipset. The camera department features two colour shooters on the back. The first combines a 12MP Sony IMX362 sensor with an f/1.8 lens, while the second packs a 23MP Sony IMX318 sensor and an f/2.0 lens. In both cases, 6-element lenses are used with sapphire glass for protection. nubia's NeoVision 7.0 ensures services the shooters. There are two 5MP on the front with 3-element 79.9-degree wide-angle lenses, f/2.2 aperture, and Portrait Mode with artistic background blur. nubia Z17S arrives in two flavours in terms of RAM and storage (LPDDRX and UFS 2.1, respectively): 6GB+64GB, priced at CNY 2999 (USD 455) and 8GB+128GB priced at CNY 3999 (USD 607). nubia Z17miniS has a total of four cameras as well. On the back is placed a dual module with two identical snappers - one shoots in colour, the other in black and white. Each is equipped with a 13MP Sony IMX258 sensor and a 5-element lens with an f/2.2 aperture. The front duo of cameras includes a 16MP one with a 5-element lens and an f/2.0 aperture. The second is equipped with a 5MP sensor and a 3-element lens with an f/2.2 aperture. The display of this model has the same hybrid in-cell LTPS panel, but with a 5.2-inch diagonal size and a classic FHD resolution - 1080 x 1920 pixels. For its performance, the device relies on a Qualcomm Snapdragon 653 MSM8976 Pro chipset with a 1.95GHz octa-core CPU and an Adreno 510 GPU. The RAM and storage measure 6GB (LPDDR3) and 64GB (eMMC 5.1), respectively. The model is priced at CNY 1999 (USD 303).Source
