Sharp announced the Aquos R2 with SD845, 6" WQHD+ display, two rear camerasSharp has just announced the Aquos R2, which feature two rear cameras. The first one employs a 135° wide-angle lens and a 16.3MP sensor with 4K video recording. The standard camera below the wide-angle one has a 22.6MP sensor and a new image quality engine "ProPix" for improved low-light shooting. The camera department uses plenty of AI features, including AI photo shooting during video recording, AI Auto mode, etc. The front-facing camera has a 16.3MP sensor and supports bokeh mode. The smartphone is built around a full display with thin side bezels, a minimal chin that houses a home button with an embedded fingerprint sensor and a small notch for the front camera. The top bezel is thicker and you can see that it hides the light and proximity sensors, and the LED notification light. The speaker is craftily etched between the frame and front glass. The huge display has a 6.01-inch diagonal size, a 19:9 aspect ration and a WQHD+ resolution (1440 x 3040). Sharp Aquos R2 arrives with both Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos, meaning you will enjoy great visuals and sound while watching Dolby-compatible videos and movies on the big display. The screen also supports HDR - a feature it inherits from Sharp's Aquos TV Series. The IGZO display can be operated with wet hands. The body is IP68 certified for water and dust resistance. Performance-wise, Sharp Aquos R2 relies on a Snapdragon 845 chipset with 4GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 64GB of UFS internal memory. The latter can be expanded with up to 400GB. The model is powered by a 3130 mAh battery and runs on Android 8.0 Oreo.
